golfsmith just bought macgreggor tho…hopefully they retain don white to do all their iron forgings and make them available for the cheap.

funny how macgreggor went bankrupt…they were the biggest iron company in the world, then greg norman buys the controlling stake, and POOF…gone.

SC – Yeah Golfsmith is definitely the way to go to demo clubs. Just know going in that the sales guy is going to pimp their house brands (Lynx, Snake Eyes, etc.) since they get a pretty healthy spiff on that stuff.

Two ways of going about this. 1. Find any used brand name set, get them re-gripped, save $400 and get lessons 1x a month for 4 months and hit a bucket in between lessons. I used this set of Wilsons for 13 years and got good, then jumped up to Hogans and now enjoy the better clubs.

2. Get fitted at a demo day, then go to rockbottomgolf.com and get a brand new pair from 2-3 years ago that nobody bought, and save yourself $400 or so, then go and put that into lessons.
