Michael Jackson died?
July 8th, 2009 at 8:24 am
I guess Hooters has a champagne room now, based on that video.
July 8th, 2009 at 8:29 am
I don’t know why everyone is complaining. The Michael Jackson memorial was a beautiful event. The only thing missing was Elton John singing “Don’t let your son go down on me.”
July 8th, 2009 at 8:32 am
Keyshawn Johnson, “interior design maven” is about to go on GMA. Yes, that Keyshawn.
July 8th, 2009 at 8:33 am
“It’s a machine, my friend,†one surgeon explained.
“Any plan that relies on the sheep to negotiate with the wolves is doomed to failure.€
good read.
capitalism and patient care – how long have the geniuses on capital hill been dealing with this?
it’s going to take half a century to work this out.
July 8th, 2009 at 8:41 am
seems to me one solution would be to create a system where doctors aren’t rewarded for doing unnecessary tests/procedures and make these kick back schemes illegal.
July 8th, 2009 at 8:42 am
I agree with almost everything she says, but would all of the celebrations be okay if Jackson had 4 top-20 hits in the last 20 years?
July 8th, 2009 at 8:43 am
The comments on the teacher/student wedding article are kinda hilarious.
July 8th, 2009 at 8:45 am
That was a very good read. Health care has got to change, but with both sides of the aisle being paid for by Big Medicine, it won’t go anywhere anytime soon.
July 8th, 2009 at 8:46 am
Kick backs are already extremely illegal, that article shows you how well that law is doing…and you try telling the average patient that their doctor is wrong and the test that s/he ordered is unnecessary. The system cannot be fixed easily at all, and I hate to think how bad Congress will end up screwing it up.
Great read tbl, thanks for the link.

Google going to drop an OS in 2010 – ask Cuban what that does to the market.
I don’t believe the tests were really classified as “unnecessary”. They stem excess caution in many cases.
The “kickbacks” are profits from ownership of business.
July 8th, 2009 at 8:48 am
Awesome.
July 8th, 2009 at 8:48 am
BINGO. To me, that’s the #1 step towards LEGIT health care reform. Everybody talks about “we don’t want socialized health care yadda yadda yadda.” Excuse me, we already have socialized health care. And it’s a cash cow for many, many physicians.
July 8th, 2009 at 8:51 am
Here’s a real must-read on the health care issue.
July 8th, 2009 at 8:54 am
Read the actual blog post by Gruden. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nflnation/0-9-25/Gruden-returns-from-USO-tour.html
Seems pretty level to me, and why is so bad that he had some pride, on a USO trip at a time near our Independence Day? On a holiday when most spend $30 on blowing up lame-ass firecrackers but are too cheap to spend $20 a nice USA flag?
/Get your political cowardice off my lawn.
July 8th, 2009 at 8:57 am
Poor lady. She was treated like an American with no health insurance.
July 8th, 2009 at 8:58 am
Well played ATLDan, thought you were serious for a second.
MikeNYC, long time no see.
July 8th, 2009 at 8:59 am
The Dark Knight second weekend = 75 million
Transformers 2 second weekend = 42 million
You can sucker in lots of people impressed by shiny objects the first weekend, but it is a lot harder for bad movies to keep making money. I think a lot of the people who see movies after the first weekend rely on critics and word of mouth.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:00 am
that’s their problem. in fact, why are we even letting them into our country to steal our healthcare? next, they’ll be taking our jobs!! and our freedom!!!
July 8th, 2009 at 9:00 am
I agree scripty. I read it, and he didnt really say anything inflammatory.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:00 am
no one is suggesting that everyone needs to be covered by a public health plan, but its an option. if you want/can afford/are provided with faster, better, privater, whatever care, you can use that.
why can we trust the government to do many good things, but if it is something that it hasn’t done in the past, it will ruin America. why not a private military? we trust the government to provide national defense, but not healthcare? and if you don’t think that vast numbers of uninsured are a threat to national security, you’re being naive.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:01 am
What exactly is a GOOD movie? The sheeple will still go see it, but Transformers will crush it like bug.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:02 am
Also see: Wolverine and T4, both woefully underperformed and got bad reviews. Or look at Land of the Lost, one of the biggest box office failures ever, and shockingly it got horrible reviews and got slaughtered by The Hangover which got outstanding reviews.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:04 am
No, the staged hilarity of the new Borat movie will crush it this weekend. Then Potter will crush them all.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:05 am
i dont see that Beth Cooper junk doing more than 10-15 mil this weekend.
movie ‘goodness’ is completely subjective, BS. you know that.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:06 am
moleman: don’t forget it also goes the other way, some critics will absolutely love a movie, but it tanks in the box office.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:09 am
Hooters girl was cute. She can’t fill it up to the top though? Weak sauce.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:10 am
I know, that’s what I was referencing. Otherwise explain to me the success of the National Treasure and Night at the Museum franchises. The Beth Cooper book actually isn’t half bad for what it is. The casting for it looks absolutely terrible, though.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:11 am
I’ll fill her up to the top though! Ba-dum-chung.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:12 am
Funny thing…people without health insurance in this country still get treated. Funny thing, that. No one dies because of not having health care, they die because they’d rather not go bankrupt due to not getting health insurance in favor of getting cable TV.
I have very, very little sympathy for the majority of the uninsured…because they CAN afford it, but they prefer to spend the money on other things, then bitch and moan because they can’t get coverage after the fact. The only people I do have sympathy for are the ones that are eligible for Medicaid, but because of the massive bureaucracy can’t get enrolled.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:12 am
Larry Doyle is a hilarious man.
I like how movies are so subjective, but if someone gets on here and were to say ‘all I listen to is Hanson and Spice Girls’ nobody would defend them like the Transformers nerds defend each other.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:13 am
By a country that sings the sweet tune of socialized medicine.
That sound you hear is the point of the article flying over Clown’s head.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:13 am
speaking of movings the critics liked – Revolutionary Road. That thing was a brutal watch. Sometimes I don’t just don’t get it.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:15 am
I’m in now way agreeing with Mike NYC (now or ever), but here’s a not terribly funny sketch from a liberal Canadian TV show about Canadian healthcare, packaged in a House parody.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:16 am
Tough time concentrating today boys – last day at work before a 3.5 day bender for my bachelor party in Vegas for UFC 100.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:21 am
err movies
July 8th, 2009 at 9:21 am
Funny thing…people without health insurance in this country still get treated. Funny thing, that. No one dies because of not having health care, they die because they’d rather not go bankrupt due to not getting health insurance in favor of getting cable TV.
This is not true, but I know what you’re saying. People never have money to go to a routine MD visit, but they’ve always got cigarettes.
People don’t immediately die when they don’t have healthcare (meaning they wont’ bleed to death at a hospital), but they miss out on early detection of things that can kill them, like diabetes or cancer, but are treatable. If you’re poor, it’s hard to justify a well checkup for a 45 year old man or woman when the roof leaks. So they skip, and end up only being seen in emergency rooms, or when the cancer has already found their brains.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:22 am
I got the point of the article. If you’re rich enough to pay for a surgical procedure out of pocket, the American healthcare system is beyond reproach.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:23 am
I can’t believe what I just said was worthy of moderation. Retarded.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:23 am
Go get em,Roeth. TBL is holding your bail.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:23 am
Congrats Roeth
July 8th, 2009 at 9:24 am
Roeth, you suck.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:24 am
Revolutionary Road got 71 percent favorable reviews from the Top Critics which is low for an Academy type film. A lot of people loved it, a lot of people hated that movie, but it was nowhere near as acclaimed as a lot of other movies that suck. Put me in the camp of the movie being brutal fwiw.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:26 am
Kate Winslet movies from last year = award giver circle jerks.
The only movie I saw last year that was nominated for best picture was Frost/Nixon, the rest of them struck me as incredibly pretentious.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:29 am
as someone who studied film in college, it’s very easy to get caught up in thinking a movie is great just b/c of who is involved. Critics are no better than the viewing public, they just get to make their opinions public and they type their columns on their high horse.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:30 am
Why is it that whenever someone brings up healthcare reform, republicans instantly just bash the Canadian system? As if the only other option is a completely government run system? At this point isn’t Congress only looking into having a public option?
/fuck partisan responses
July 8th, 2009 at 9:30 am
Mike NYC: I know where you stand on Obama’s HC plan, but what do you think we should do? You can’t seriously believe that the system we have now is even remotely near the best we can do.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:31 am
It’s a very divisive film. I really liked it, but I don’t think I’d ever watch it again. I’d liken it a lot to Mike Nichols’ Closer. Very well made, written and acted, but excrutiating to watch more than once. But that was kind of the point of both the book and the movie. But ATLDan is right, 71% favorable is low for a “critically-acclaimed” film, but not necessarily an Academy-type film. The Oscars are famous for nominating lesser fare for best picture. See Ghost, Seabiscuit, The Reader, etc.
File this comment under “things you didn’t really need to know nor care about.” Thanks.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:31 am
Sweet Roeth, enjoy. I actually got married in Vegas (planned), very easy, none of the normal headaches, and a ton of fun.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:31 am
@ATL
getting a mention for the Oscar was the reason I watched. my mistake.
i did a double with Benjamin Button the other night .. just a brutal evening on the couch.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:32 am
Why is it that whenever someone brings up healthcare reform, republicans instantly just bash the Canadian system?
Because Canada is single payer. And that’s the scariest image you can get. Standing in line at the DMV with a cut throat, waiting to get your bar code tattoo scanned. Plus, it’s what Rush says to do.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:33 am
Remember Roeth…. make sure the black guy at the liquor store gives your ecstasy, not roofies
July 8th, 2009 at 9:34 am
Rev Road was depressing. i’ve never endorse that film to anyone.
Roeth – kindly check in via the comments this weekend. not all of us are as lucky as you. i’ll be cleaning the garage (really)
NYCMike – check your email.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:34 am
I’d agree to a certain extent. Some of them are excellent, some of them are Rex Reedesque in their shilling. Some of them used to be great (Peter Travers) and now just phone it in. Ebert’s tastes have certainly changed over the years, but I still think you’d be hardpressed to find someone who writes more intelligently and entertainingly about film.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:37 am
The funny part (relative to the Hangover) is my future brother-in-law (named Doug) is coming and it’s his first time to Vegas. We’re going to try not to lose him on a rooftop.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:41 am
So no Big Baby to the Spurs. They just gave their full mid level to Antonio Mcdyess. I hope i’m not stepping on a post.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:42 am
TBL: When are you going to start college football previews? I’m jonesing for some college football posts, especially with all of the CF junkies on this site.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:43 am
b/c they want people to think any type of reform would mean a complete and severe overhaul of the system in a short span of time. I don’t think this country will go to a Candian system, it will be a hybrid system in order to make sure everyone has an affordable option for coverage, lower costs (remember why our automakes are bankrupt, they pay medical on retirees and the costs are so damn high just for that), and to make health insurance mandatory for everyone, much like auto insurance.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:43 am
wife and kid are gone for the weekend. golf with zero guilt!
July 8th, 2009 at 9:44 am
As soon as he cracks the Kennedy Assassination.
So…. anyone read Sporting News last night?
July 8th, 2009 at 9:46 am
Congrats Roeth. Don’t end up like a guy who’s wedding I went to. A college friend of my wife’s got married, so i only knew the couple a little bit.
The night of the rehearsal (night before wedding), the “men” went out and got destroyed. The best man and some ushers thought it would be hilarious to pour the guy on a plane and ship him away, which they did.
The guy ended up in LA the next day and missed his wedding. They ended up getting a civil ceremony after the reception and the wife has never spoken to any of the guys in the wedding party ever again (and that was over 20 years ago)
July 8th, 2009 at 9:48 am
That would be swell. Any more basketball and my brain’s going to explode. The best time of the year is only a little more than a month away, I’d say now is as good at time as any to start the hype.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:51 am
agree. Michigan and Notre Dame Suck.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:51 am
Bsanders – you heard about Andrea Bargnani’s 50 million dollar extension right?
That’s 50 million actual, not cuttable dollars, to a guy who was the 3rd best player on a team that won 27 games. Even I’m getting sick of basketball at this point.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:53 am
Agreed. Since TBL seems to be in a listy mood, what about the most impressive schedules, or best non-conference games or top incoming freshman? All things that would drive conversations I would think.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:55 am
Because any type of “public option” will eventually crowd out private sector providers. It’s a plain economic fact. The government can afford to operate at a loss, and private sector companies can’t. Who do you think is going to win the lion’s share of public dollars? It leads inevitably to a single payer system.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:56 am
Roeth – stay up and hit the Paris breakfast buffet – great way to end the night.
Also – a great way to cap off a weekend bachelor party is to break up with the fiance when you get back.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:57 am
Yuck, that’s nasty. I’m not saying guys in the NFL don’t get overpaid for nominal production (see David, Jason). But I don’t think it’s anywhere near as bad as it is in the NBA.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:58 am
Toronto won 33 games last year
July 8th, 2009 at 9:59 am
Cool call. I did this after a night out at my bachelor party and it was fanstastic. It was even better with 8 mimosas.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:01 am
nba is headed towards a lockout.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:03 am
Gotta love politics. Obama gets hell from both sides, so he’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:03 am
Because any type of “public option†will eventually crowd out private sector providers. It’s a plain economic fact.
It’s plain economic fact that insurance companies are recording record profits right now, even as the cost of healthcare is skyrocketing, and the quality of care is not getting better.
It’s also economic fact that health insurance agency lobbyists drop tons and tons of scratch on politicians, so whatever passes will be more watered down than a dollar pitcher of margaritas.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:03 am
bsanders: at least the NFL can cut most players that don’t live up to their pricey contract.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:05 am
Toronto won 33 games last year
Sorry Irish. I didn’t bother to look it up. I don’t even actually think it’s a bad deal, in NBA terms.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:05 am
roeth. funny that this movie is on TBS right now
July 8th, 2009 at 10:06 am
at least the NFL can cut most players that don’t live up to their pricey contract.
Or that suffer catastrophic injury doing their jobs. Or that are active in the union. Or that have a big roster bonus coming. Or that are old, when a rookie will do the job for 1/5th as much.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:08 am
@dirt- its all good. I just wanted to comment on basketball. gotta love the NBA
July 8th, 2009 at 10:10 am
at least the NFL can cut most players that don’t live up to their pricey contract.

if only GM could have done that for the last 30 years, they’d still be viable and in business for at least another year
July 8th, 2009 at 10:10 am
I read where they spend $1.4 million per day lobbying Congress. This goes into the notion of having fixed term limits on those in Congress so that getting re-elected isn’t the end-all-be-all, but I know that is never going to happen.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:11 am
@dirt- its all good. I just wanted to comment on basketball. gotta love the NBA
I was seriously only trying to make Sanders head explode. I’ve been over at Hoopsworld this morning, watching deals go down, reading about how Tyler Hansbrough has looked good in summer league. I’m right with you.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:12 am
Irish, are you a Gator fan?
July 8th, 2009 at 10:14 am
Hey, I don’t begrudge you guys for your interest in the NBA. To each his own. But it’s been like 9 months now of the NBA and college basketball dominating TBL (okay, maybe only six). Time to once again cede the floor to the gridiron.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:15 am
As usual, Mike NYC and Tallguy post the comments with which I disagree with most on health reform let alone most issues. Perhaps guys like this always had health care that was not only adequate and affordable, as through an employer. Then some day others are laid off, and depending on the type of job and part of the country, good luck.
Gosh I used to be like them when even individual polices in most parts of the country were no more than $100/month for something decent but not as good as group coverage. That was the case for me until 2008, when I was injured in a freak accident of sorts and did have health insurance through my employer at the time.
These folks also never advocate anything but the status quo and ignore the reality that falls now about millions as the consequence of mere personal irresponsibility, and I have to wonder if they are just in the pockets of their private insurance and GOP cronies as usual. Like Michael Steele their fearless leader now after that last puppet of Darth Cheney, these types are all hat …
July 8th, 2009 at 10:16 am
Irish, are you a Gator fan?
rut row
bsanders: been closer to 9 months. Move the fuck on to football already, and cut the bball posts down to only like 5 a day. Everybody’s happy
July 8th, 2009 at 10:18 am
@gods- nope. Tha U is my team in college football
July 8th, 2009 at 10:18 am
I’m all for football, but only the pros. I’m geared up, but I am an incredibly frustrated football fan, given the proliferation of fucking fantasy. And this place is like a haven for nerds who care that Todd Heap got 2 catches for 9 yards in a 16 point loss.
So soon enough, my head will explode.
Also, have you ever seen any Bergman movies? I saw the Seventh Seal the other day, then I spent several hours trying to wrap my head around it.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:22 am
+2 Wilhelm
Sound commentary Wilhelm!
Yes any time you go for such reforms as advocated by most Democrats, never mind a solution is needed also for those who hate either major party like me, the GOP types pull a Limbaugh or a Fox News with the fear mongering in the pocket of their BigPharma and BigMedicine and BigInsurance lobbies and donors.
But cut certain “homeland security” or “anti-terrorism” measures largely in name only and then stop the press no way plus your “patriotism” ought to be questioned seriously a la their ultimate hero whom they never bash rightly covert fa$cist NeoCon Darth Cheney. Doubters see Cheney’s Law from “Frontline” on PBS in 2008 whilst he was still in office:
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/cheney/view/
Having said all that, it would be great to hear some “Republican” (in name only and certainly not the party of Reagan since 1991 now) at this point spout an original thought instead of merely pandering their party line and media talking points. I am not holding my breath.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:23 am
Feingold – ultimate goal is single-payer.
That’s all I got.
Be back around more when football begins to heat up …
July 8th, 2009 at 10:24 am
Do you like Shannon as the head coach? I think he will be a good hire, but that program went so low so fast, that it will take another year or two to rebuild.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:26 am
I doubt Fantasy Football would be near as big if like almost every other Western country we had some form of legal national sports betting, which of course is being stifled mostly by none other than Senator Harry Reid pandering to the gambling lobby that runs Nevada.
Meanwhile the total handle of sports bets in Las Vegas hit a peak in 2000.
Okay back to finding yourself a decent bookie for now or taking your chances with that offshore stuff.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:27 am
Paolo: Nothing is going to change. There are too many lobbyists paying off too many shady, lousy Congressmen/women to switch from the “status quo”.
Insurance company lobbyists will scream they can’t cut costs unless real tort reform is initiated, but the Trial Lawyer’s Association will never allow it, so around and around we go.
Don’t blame only the Republicans on this. Washington is fundamentally broken, and unless/until issues like this are addressed, the REAL, major issues like health care will die by the side of the road
/off soapbox
July 8th, 2009 at 10:29 am
@gods- i would have preferred Mike Leach, but Miami hired Shannon. I expect them to improve this year and compete for the ACC title
July 8th, 2009 at 10:30 am
A)I pay for my own healthcare…$161 per month through BCBSNC. High deductible, but with prescription drug benefits. It’s basically a safety net because I’m young, so the only thing I really need is catastrophic coverage.
B)If you’ve seen my previous comments on this issue, you’d know that I’m all in favor for universal health care, and that my preference is the German model. That doesn’t mean I feel sorry for those that currently don’t have health insurance. Sure, there are extenuating circumstances for individuals, but on the whole, a significant majority of the uninsured can afford health insurance, but spend the money elsewhere. It’s like the banking industry…they want to be risky to make money, but the second the shit hits the fan, they went straight to the govt to bail them out. It sucks to get hit with massive medical bills, but if you decide that cable TV and a brand new car are more important than health insurance, you should have to live with the consequences. I have neither, but I know I’m covered if I develop cancer or have a nasty accident.
Basically, we shouldn’t need govt intervention, but people are morons, so there needs to be mandated health insurance for everyone, like automobile insurance.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:30 am
Wouldn’t the U be better using their former renegade status as a recruiting point, rather than trying to be a well-funded dominant program (OSU, TEXAS, UND, FLORIDA) they are not and can’t financially compete with? Just recruit all the maniacs and wear camoflouge pants en route to kicking some ass. Say we’re mad as hell and not going to take it anymore, scare everybody and at least go down shooting? Sounds better than peopling coming in your backyard and stealing your recruits.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:31 am
Hell, I don’t care what Congress does…I just know I have health insurance through my employer and I had to pay 90 fucking dollars to go see an ENT a few months ago. Something’s wrong there…and not that “I got sick.”
July 8th, 2009 at 10:36 am
Yeah, I’m a big fan of Scenes From a Marriage and Wild Strawberries.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:38 am
Wouldn’t the U be better using their former renegade status as a recruiting point
Randy Shannon is doing a poor job recruiting?
July 8th, 2009 at 10:39 am
Leach is a cool cat, and I am very surprised that he is still at TT. I know he is quirky and some think that being in the middle of nowhere like Lubbock suits him, but you’d have to think he would want a better job. He’ll never win anything at TT due to UT and OU.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:44 am
irish: I think Sciano from Rutgers should have taken the gig. He was at the U and his ceiling at Rutgers is going to be a lot lower than one at Miami, once Miami comes back.
I heard he wanted PSU after JoePa, but I can’t believe he’d get that gig

Damn right that’s all you got, as usual, just as I thought — fear mongering. See Wilhelm’s comments for a reality check Mike NYC and spread it around to your GOP cronies including on Wall Street where you work apparently.

Amen, I f’in HATE fantasy talk. There are certain people I run into that I can’t talk to during football season because all they want to talk about is how they traded some player for some other player, fuck off no one cares. You cant watch a game with them because they are constantly looking at some other games stats and rooting for player A to score. How about enjoying the game and rooting for your team to score.
It has turned football into a number game where Jon Kitna is an elite QB and winning the game is irrelevant.

Heldover, it sure as hell is better than zero, which I have had, and next to zero with a high deductible health policy, and soon the worst employer-based coverage I ever had for which I had to wait 90 days at that.
Ask anyone unemployed still how hard it is to find not only decent work but also that which offers benefits anymore.
At least now when you leave your job with an employer with coverage for more than 20 employees, sometimes you can get a COBRA subsidy as well for the premiums you pay from the government.
Definitely take the COBRA now, as we’ll need it for awhile as the government again attempts to do something it has never done such as they tried to also “instill democracy in the Middle East” amidst far more ulterior motives back in 2003.
It’s just about a guaranteed fuckup so long as the likes of Reid and Pelosi are running things for the most part.

agree w/ you guys on this. I HATE fantasy of any kind (unless they involve multiple females, whipped cream, and other things not ready for prime time TBL)

It has turned football into a number game where Jon Kitna is an elite QB and winning the game b/c you were too scared to bet with a bookie - irrelevant.

Right on JPQ +2.
Heck no I don’t blame the Republicans only on this, as shown in my comment above, but I do go after their effective or real shills (one spotted and outed last week, and wow did he get both defensive and mad when I called out his lame ass) on here when they come on with their talking points and fear mongering in opposition.
Again, I welcome an original thought from any one of these partisan zombies and hacks posting on here, but like their leader as well as the last puppet president again they are all hat and no cattle.

Tallguy, great comments on solutions but poor attitude from you as usual with all that “education” and all you tout …typical …I’ll leave it at that because we always disagree here.

I just read the New Yorker article and threw up in my mouth a little.
