He gets robbed so he goes to play in possibly the most corrupt sporting league in the world where the mafia runs everything and people don’t get paid if the owners don’t feel like it.

Who gives someone $43 million.
Also, if you have $43 million. That is enough money to buy winter and summer mansions, put your kids through college and graduate school and never have to work again. Stable investments.
