The Tigers have lost 4 of their last 5 games by a score of 2-1. They are 1-5 since the All Star break scoring these runs in the 6 games: 3, 1, 1, 9, 1, 1.

Pathtetic does not begin to describe the offense.

We need Holliday or Dunn or Huff…or somebody and quickly.

Hughes is a good long reliever right now, but who knows what he can develop into. I would rather have Lee in the rotation than Hughes in the pen.

I wouldn’t like seeing Joba or Hughes go. I like the mix right now. They need to add a starter to fill some gaps, but I don’t see why they need to go after an ace.

And Pettite has gotta retire or leave at some point. I would gladly give up Hughes for Lee.

Giving up Joba or Hughes for a Lee rental is ridiculous.

Probably, but if it was just one straight up you do get lee for next year too. This isn’t nearly as insane as halladay for joba/hughes/austin jackson.

I am TERRIFIED of the brett wallace plus stuff for two months of Matt Holliday rumors.

um… I know perfect games are rare and all… but can we get back to that picture of Jayson Werth?
Yes, what’s the deal there? Did he go on the Real World and emerge with a totally new style by season’s end?

My theory is it’s like when Dan Fielding got fucked in his office as a virginal young lawyer and immeadiately emerged the booty chasing suave night court defense attorney we all know and love.
