Ironically, the NBA has a “thug” image to many in the US but I remember that after Hurricane Katrina, they were the most ardent donors, organizers and charity givers around.

My point was that the NBA has a “thug” image because there are a lot of thugs in the NBA. Your post makes it sound like the NBA is nothing but choirboys who are getting a bad rap.
