Coop and other PSU/IU peeps.
Did you see this? I don’t get why IU agreed to this. Do they have a huge alumni base in DC
August 26th, 2009 at 4:07 PM
this wasnt his fault, it was the Man’s fault.
August 26th, 2009 at 4:07 PM
Also, RR hasn’t taken a single JUCO into Michigan so that “joke” was just not… a joke?

@roeth
PSU paid them 3 million to make an IU home game basically an away game. It has been done before just not since like 1945 or something…
August 26th, 2009 at 4:14 PM
I’d say thats more about PSU than IU Roeth. We get a ton of recruits from the Maryland/Virginia area, quite a few grads in the Balt/Philly/DC area too. It says IU is only getting 7,000 tix.
I liked this quote, “We are very excited about the opportunity to play the 2010 Indiana football game at FedExField, one of the nation’s premier sports facilities”.
I’ve been to FedEx for a Skins game, its a dump in the middle of a swamp way outside the city, its a terrible place to see a game. Beaver Stadium has bigger screens.

Color me…nonplussed.
August 26th, 2009 at 4:16 PM
True dat.
I saw the Falcons play the Skins there a few years ago and thought it was okay.

impressive dirt
August 26th, 2009 at 4:23 PM
Gods, my experience was certainly made worse by the fact that it was approximately 110 degrees with 100 percent humidity when I was there. Even in ideal conditions, as far as pro stadiums go, its below average.
August 26th, 2009 at 4:23 PM
I know – that’s why I was surprised IU willingly gave up a home game for what will now be an away game. $3 mil is a lot of $, but still.
August 26th, 2009 at 4:25 PM
Is Gattica that good bsanders?
August 26th, 2009 at 4:25 PM
Ahhh, didnt realize they were the ones giving up the home game. Screw them, stupid basketball school, hell they aren’t even good at that any more.
August 26th, 2009 at 4:37 PM
It was January for me, so the heat and such was not an issue (thankg god).
August 26th, 2009 at 4:39 PM
Coop – you and your weather excuses

Hahahaha, I know I’m such a wus, I guarantee nothing would have been different about that day if it took place inside a nice climate controlled dome, absolutely nothing…
