False. Manning was never in doubt of losing his job during the season. The Giants were in a Playoff chase. Who were they going to put in? Anthony Wright? Eli might have struggled late but he was in zero danger of losing his job. The Giants were 7-4 and then beat the Bears and Eagles. Not sure where this thought came from.
