The rumor mill is working overtime tonight – according to the venerable news outlet known as CelebTV, Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo (who isn’t the best-looking QB in the NFL) might be dating news anchor/former beauty queen Candice Crawford. Even though she’s only barely a celebrity – but a huge deal in Dallas, apparently – Crawford, 22, has some A-list lineage – her brother is Chace Crawford, one of the guys on Gossip Girl. Also, she’s an actual journalist – she graduated from the journalism school at the University of Missouri (so maybe she knows Pat Forde, Seth Wickersham, Dennis Dodd, and Wright Thompson).

Presumably, Tony Romo will be asked about this tomorrow, flash that toothy grin, and no comment it off.

(And for those keeping score at home, Romo’s quest to catch Derek Jeter is going quite well: Carrie Underwood, Sophia Bush, Jessica Simpson, and now Candice Crawford.)
