A Pittsburgh Pirates Story That Isn’t Depressing
1-liner, Baseball, Golf September 12th. 2009, 2:25pmTwo hole-in-ones in the same round! “On Thursday, Pirates broadcaster and former pitcher Steve Blass recorded a pair of holes-in-one during the annual Pirates alumni golf outing at Greensburg Country Club. For his first ace of the day, Blass used an 8-iron at the 154-yard, par-3 15th hole. His second hole-in-one came with a 7-iron on No. 7, a 175-yard, par-3 hole. According to Golf Digest, the odds of a golfer making two holes-in-one in the same round are 1 in 67 million.” This is by far the most inspiring Pirates-related news since 1992. [Pittsburgh Live]

Man, I love Southwest. Not because I use them, but because US Air had to lower prices tremendously. Non-stop roundtrip to LGA for less than 150.

RDU…not that long of a trip, but still…Southwest wanted $200 with a stop in either Midway or Baltimore.

Freaking Uconn. Lose a game on an offensive holding penalty in the endzone, automatic safety with 22 seconds left to lose the game. Nice game by the D. So much for this spread offense they were trying.
