Gilbert Arenas Criticizes Wizards For Handling of His Injury
1-liner, NBA September 16th. 2009, 4:45pmGilbert Speaks: Gilbert Arenas broke his media silence, ripping the Wizards for how they handled his injury. “If I’m saying I feel good and you know it’s supposed to take six months, instead of letting me at four months run … they should have held me back. Rather than saying, ‘Let’s let this guy do what he wants and use him to sell tickets’ – sometimes you have to protect players from themselves. I don’t feel like I got that type of protection.” (Washington Times)

i love it. maybe he shouldnt have ran if he didnt think he was ready. fuck that it would be easier to never be responsible for your own actions

All of my Wizard fan friends love this guy. He is, simply put, an awful contract, one dimensional player and head-case. He is literally mad at a team for letting him do what he wants. You are 27 years old, take responsibility jack ass.

Gilbert doesn’t normally whine like that. Odd.

This wasn’t an isolated quote. This was one thing he said mixed in with a bunch of other shit. Anyone who’s ever had an injury during a season wants to come back asap, it’s just competitive nature. I absolutely blame the Wizards for not holding him out the entire season. Gilbert says some stupid shit sometimes, but this isn’t one of those times.
