College Football: Apparently, This Sign is Real
College Football, REligion September 17th. 2009, 5:00pm
In BYU’s quest to crash the BCS, step II is Saturday: Hosting Florida State. We’ll obviously be rooting for the Cougars, whose previous two meetings with the ‘Noles resulted in losses (44-28 despite having Ty Detmer and 29-3 in 2000). After FSU’s disaster against Jacksonville State last week, oddsmakers have labeled BYU considerable favorites. Step III is an Oct. 24 home game against TCU; Step IV is the season finale when the Cougars host rival Utah. It can be done. [Orlando Sentinel]

TCU had the #1 ranked defense in the country last year and they didn’t lose too many starters. That’s going to be a rough game for BYU. I hate Gary Patterson, but the man knows his defensive X’s and O’s.

BYU’s probably better than Florida State. And can we stop using the terms “crash the BCS party” or “BCS buster”? There are 10 spots available in BCS bowls. 6 of those go to the BCS conference champs, and the other four are at large, but each BCS conference is limited to 2 teams max, and 99.9999% of the time, the largest number of conferences that will have multiple attendees is 2. So, that leaves 2 at large spots for non-BCS conference teams. This is hardly like a Butler getting an at large bid to the NCAA tourney.

Beating TCU is probably the most difficult step, with Florida State being the second most difficult. BYU has way more talent this year than Utah. It is a rivalry game so you never know, but BYU should handle Utah rather easily this year.
I can’t stand BYU. I can’t support any team whose administration makes it difficult for me to get good microbrews here. Go FSU!

well the sign is actually correct because if they score more points than the mormons have wives then they will score like 5 million points and that would mean the noles win right? unless of course byu scores 5 million and 3 points
