Played basetball in elementary(not very well). oldest son plays freshman football, runs track, and plays B-ball youngest son plays football, basketball, baseball and anything else he wants to play.Sure, I feel badly for the NFL players who suffer brain injuries. But to keep your kids from playing any sport because you're afraid isn't the answer. Better equipment and better doctors who won't send a player out there after his 10th concussion ARE needed. No concussions but my knees and my shoulders/neck swear at me every day for it. I probably wouldn't do it again if I had a chance to do it all over.I'd never tell my kid that he can't play something but, thankfully, he's so heavily into hockey that it's not an issue.
