College Football Late Afternoon Featuring Tigers and Bulldogs
College Football October 3rd. 2009, 3:25pm
As we mourn the loss of Michigan’s undefeated season, we turn our attention to the next slate of games. It looks like the big game is #4 LSU at #18 Georgia. Feel free to stay here and eat all the chips if you want. We’re running low on beer so somebody’s going to have to run to the store (*looks at Duffy*).

To Hell With Georgia.
October 3rd, 2009 at 3:28 PM
I’d fuck the one in the purple.
October 3rd, 2009 at 3:30 PM
But seriously, the second from the left and the white one kneeling…wowee wowwa. I wasn’t trying to be racist saying “the white one kneeling,” either, just didn’t know any other way to differentiate.

duffy drinks the common man’s beverage? he’s going to have to turn in his wolverine badge and gun.
October 3rd, 2009 at 3:32 PM
I would with all these girls. I dont think Id go out of my way for any of them.
Except for the one in the purple and the one kneeling in front of her
October 3rd, 2009 at 3:33 PM
Please, he only drinks half-century old liquor and does in a large leather chair surrounded by many dusty books.
October 3rd, 2009 at 3:33 PM
Nah, he’s just the one dispatched to run to the store.
October 3rd, 2009 at 3:34 PM
I never said Duffy drinks like us, but he certainly run to the store and fill the Natty Caddy.

Kordell Stewart maybe the worst analysist of all time. Memo to ESPN: Just b/c they played football doesn’t mean they know anything about football.
October 3rd, 2009 at 3:38 PM

October 3rd, 2009 at 3:40 PM
What about suck–eh, nevermind.
October 3rd, 2009 at 3:41 PM
I’m 3/4 of the way in the bag after the awful performance by the Hawkeyes today. Now, I have to somehow find a way to get to this hockey game.
October 3rd, 2009 at 3:43 PM
Nice pick, but take a knee there kid.
October 3rd, 2009 at 3:45 PM
And Verne Lundquist just dropped possibly the worst Larry Munson impression in history. I’m just stunned.
October 3rd, 2009 at 3:51 PM
Anyone else having trouble with the main page refreshing? When I go there the Mushnick post is still at the top.
October 3rd, 2009 at 3:52 PM

October 3rd, 2009 at 3:53 PM
Yeah I just saw the Rio Olympics post at the top. Weird.

So what the Browns are saying is that Brady takes care of the ball too much instead of trying to take the risks. Have fun not winning guys.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:05 PM
i see terrell pryor has done pretty well today.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:05 PM

Maybe they could run the ball more. Ernest Byner thinks it’s a good idea.

October 3rd, 2009 at 4:13 PM
Any Marion Barber owners should probably take a look at this.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:15 PM
Clausen doesn’t look very comfortable on that toe
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:15 PM
Thanks lefty… now I have to make a big decision in some leagues.
Robbie Paris… better basketball player than football player.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:16 PM
Choice, what a 14th round pick
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:18 PM
That’s quite a steal.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:19 PM
I definitely went and put in my waiver claim for him the monday after barber got hurt. Gotta check what league I got him in.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:22 PM
Greinke vs. Mauer round 1 – Greinke gets ahead 0-2 with two fastballs but Mauer squeezes a walk out of him.
Is anyone else watching this? Who is doing play-by-play? He just mentioned Poz’s idea of the “new age Triple Crown”.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:22 PM
Anybody else see that NFL Films thing on the Harbaugh family this morning? It was pretty great. Forgot that Tom Crean’s married to their sister.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:23 PM
hahah, UCLA DB takes a cheap shot at a defenseless WR, not draws a flag that gives Stanford a first down, but also is the one that gets knocked the fuck out.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:24 PM
BTW, Stanford looks like a quality team…their rb is big and agile.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:25 PM
weeze: it’s Darron Sutton. He does the Dbacks games usually I think.
Still no Dick Bremer

October 3rd, 2009 at 4:29 PM
Nothing beats Bremer shouting “DEEP TO LEFT FIELD!” on every fly ball only for it to be a 280 foot fly ball.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:29 PM
well he cant do everything else in his life as bad as he does football. right?
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:30 PM
Why, because they don’t have white rb’s in the nfl?
/that’s racist

I have no idea how Cuddyer even touched that pitch.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:35 PM

October 3rd, 2009 at 4:36 PM
Seconded.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:36 PM
Delmon is so comically helpless against Greinke. Dear lord.

/yay 30 minute guitar solos with three fucking notes!!!
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:39 PM

October 3rd, 2009 at 4:40 PM
Watching this PSU/U of I game it’s pretty obvious Ohio State is by far the best team in the Big 10. Man, this conference blows this year.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:40 PM
fetch…im just glad i could open your eyes to see past the veil of bullshit every music critic sets up when talking about them.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:41 PM
My old man just went to see Kiss in Cleveland the other night. He even thinks its time for them to hang it up.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:42 PM
Fuck Fox, they’re the ones who had to own exclusive rights to all Saturday games that start before 7 PM.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:42 PM
Why? It’s a popular contranarian opinion. This is the opinion of 75% of the 19 year olds who bothered to think about it.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:42 PM
i was trying to be clever. i was saying pryor does everything else pretty well and his day wont turn to shit until he steps on the football field. because he sucks.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:42 PM
Spencer, I like Freebird, if only because it’s the only end song in the Guitar Hero series that I’ve 5 starred on expert.

R-A-M-O-N-E-S….. R-A-M-O-N-E-S….RAMONES!
/sorry, fuckin love the Ramones
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:43 PM
And who accepted a lot of money from Fox to make that happen? Just like he accepted a bunch of money to start World Series games in the middle of the night. Just like he accepted a bunch of money to blow… wait, I can’t reveal that here. My investigation is too close to completion.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:44 PM
And each one of them and Spence are wrong.
You may not care for them and that’s OK… strange, but OK. But, the amount, variety, and continual popularity of their music says otherwise…
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:45 PM
You can find anything on the Internet.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:45 PM
I did not know that. Every person I know who tries to be cool says they like the Beatles. I’d still like to compliment spence though.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:45 PM
SarkAttack, shouldn’t we be verbally sparring right now.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:47 PM
wally popularity doesnt mean the music is good. lady ga-ga exists and is popular. i agree with you though.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:48 PM
you are a bad person for liking them.
popularity doesn’t mean shit. backstreet boys millenium sold 40 million albums…are they geniuses?
they made some pretty good music (white album and sgt. pepper). were they geniuses? no. did they alter the way music was viewed as a commodity? yes…for the worse. that makes them overrated.
why are we bringing this up?
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:49 PM
What about Irene from the Real World: Seattle giving Lucy in the Sky lupus?
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:50 PM
Well….that’s like….your opinion…..man
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:51 PM
I feel like both teams are playing pretty poorly, and there’d be no winner.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:51 PM
This is pretty interesting.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:52 PM
Can Blackburn and Greinke both throw no hitters for nine? I think they can. I think they can. It’s interesting to learn that there has never been a musical genius involved with popular music.
October 3rd, 2009 at 4:53 PM

October 3rd, 2009 at 5:02 PM
my point was that if the Beatles are not musical geniuses then there aren’t musical geniuses who made pop music. I would consider everyone listed as musical geniuses myself (esp. Zappa), but I am not an expert like Spencer, and so bow to his superior knowledge in this area.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:03 PM
also add miles davis and wes montgomery to the list…they were jazz musicians but in the 50’s and 60’s they were HUGELY popular.
both geniuses.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:03 PM
I said that like 2 hours ago tallguy. Well, not the Self firing thing.
Morningstar wasn’t gonna get any PT anyways. Even though he led the conference in 3 point shooting last year.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:04 PM
i would also say ben folds is a musical genius. that dude makes some damn good music.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:04 PM
And the white album is probably their worst album. Unlistenable trash.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:04 PM

Thank you for your understanding TST, and keep bringing on the good game you have brought on here lately. I don’t know if it has anything to do with filling in for the lately lowly Mrejr/Brock or not, but keep at it and don’t slow down.
And now by popular covert request an encore of TST’s/JPQ’s audition for the re-make of 1943’s “Fast Talking High Trousers.” Bravo I say:

October 3rd, 2009 at 5:05 PM
there are geniuses in pop…but the beatles best albums weren’t “pure” pop albums like the ones that made the band worldwide mega, super-duperstars.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:05 PM

October 3rd, 2009 at 5:06 PM
To have the imagination and creativity to come up with complex vocal harmonies (and melodies) like they do is um… geniusy?
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:06 PM
the beach boys are geniuses because they made pet sounds. they could have farted on snare drums for the rest of their catalog, but as long as they still made pet sounds, they’re certified geniuses.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:06 PM
If the Beatles were geniuses so were the people who wrote the musical parts of That Thing You Do.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:06 PM
Brian Wilson was a genius.

October 3rd, 2009 at 5:10 PM

October 3rd, 2009 at 5:11 PM
One distinction from other schools with regard to ND games is that usually they are truly NATIONAL events with people flying in from all over the country, not just driving, for every single home game!
Good luck finding a hotel room on such weekends unless you booked well, well in advance, but hey you can probably find a place to crash through an off campus connection lest you know some students there.
But hey they have tightened up on dorm guests I think compared to when I went to school when any one could just walk into the male dorms and no one gave a shit.

October 3rd, 2009 at 5:13 PM
Impressive Clausen was able to throw the ball away there with a guy hanging on him. No way he could’ve done that last year when he was down to 135 for most of the season.

October 3rd, 2009 at 5:14 PM
Tough Titties Turkleton on for the punt.
You guys should all want ND to beat USC. There is no way ND makes it the rest of the year without another loss, but USC could easily get into the title game.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:15 PM
SC…funny you say that about USC and ND when you got livid as shit when i said the same thing about OSU and iowa earlier this week.

Nice end to the half. Sloppy play and up 1? Ill take it.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:19 PM
I’m a ND fan.
But like I said, I still don’t see them getting through the rest of the year after USC without a loss. And even if they did, they would not make it high enough in the polls to get in. Nobody can be unranked halfway through the season and still get in, that’s nuts.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:19 PM
that’s on the list too. that game still hurts.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:19 PM

Agreed. I thought people were stupid to have them in the top 25 to open the year.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:21 PM

SC…id buy into iowa’s win over PSU more if PSU wasn’t struggling mightily against illinois.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:23 PM
big deal. he sure as hell performed the shit out of it though. he made himself bigger than the music he played. you could say he was the first pop star. and i am not afraid to say that i like some of his music.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:24 PM
Jim and Pam are getting married? Man the best thing about that show (when I watched the first two years) was the tension there. Wellp that shit jumped the shark.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:25 PM
How the fuck does Elvis not writing his own music refute the point that the genre existed before the Beatles?
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:25 PM
Trick question, it doesn’t.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:25 PM
LSU might wanna tighten things up on the o-line a bit. Three straight sacks inside your own 20 isn’t a great way to start a half.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:26 PM
THAT’S HOW THEY PLAY IN THE SEC WOOOOOO

No disagreement that that was original favorite part of the show, but I really like how they’ve grown their relationship. I have nothing negative to say about the Office, it still makes me laught more than any show on television (a preemptive I’ve never watched It’s Always Sunny). And based on the preview for this episode I suspect some eyes might get a little misty in the Taguchi home next Thursday.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:27 PM
holy shit…that USF QB, bj daniels is pretty legit. and isn’t he from tallahasee? how could free shoes not land that kid?
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:27 PM
AJ Green is a monster. I think that we’ll definitely see him on Sundays
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:27 PM
mrejr: i like Elvis and you gotta be a fuckin moron to not respect the man, Hell i’ve been to Graceland for christsake. I was just being a prick playing Devil’s Advocate
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:27 PM
Not happy with how we played today though. We play fine against D-1 programs that we prepare for, then twice at home now against D-2 teams we’ve won by a combined 4 points.
Unacceptable and I look to the coaches for it. I’ll take the wins though, I suppose. Just feel right now how I felt after UNI.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:28 PM
So am I! Let’s get it on!

October 3rd, 2009 at 5:28 PM
I don’t know who is more pathetic right now offensively, the Indians or the Royals?
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:29 PM
Cool, one of the best TV episodes ever is on youtube.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:29 PM
And I have ZERO positive to say about that outdated lame-ass whyyyte bread show since it came back after the writer’s strike. What a huge disappointment that sucky show is and ever shall be.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:29 PM

/screw you
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:31 PM
Peter King just said the Raiders need to sign Garcia and make him the starter and they can contend. Might be right with that division.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:32 PM
I hate when NBC teases the NFL Sunday night using the Notre Dame halftime. Still way too many talking big heads on that damn NBC production for Sunday night too.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:33 PM
clevelandstaph…sorry, you’re right. in these tough times we should really band together.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:33 PM
I took miz and sparty’s advice and read Meat Market, and it gives you a ton of insight on the recruiting process. I highly recommend it. A lot of recruiting makes no sense whatsoever.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:33 PM

October 3rd, 2009 at 5:34 PM
Yeah. It really bothers me when they play the ND fight song when going to break…
Sorry. I can’t help it. Notre Dame makes me want to start forest fires.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:34 PM
It takes a village Paolo.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:34 PM
Usually I agree with your analysis, but the evidence in this situation points to the contrary. Rivers is the only reason the Chargers aren’t 0-3 right now.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:35 PM
The sentimentality with regard to The Office is more pathetic offensively of course.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:35 PM

October 3rd, 2009 at 5:36 PM

October 3rd, 2009 at 5:37 PM
it’s true…just cuz he doesn’t have a lot of velocity doesn’t mean he’s not good on the deep ball. him to vincent jackson on a deep post is damn near unguardable. he always gets the ball there on time in the perfect spot.

On Duffy here, my almost blinded sources now reveal he wears only an open robe and flimsy slippers with a strange collar on whilst drinking such beverages in his study as well. His high horse stables might be accessible through his revolving bookcase too, but as yet we have not confirmed that.
I am having him followed lately in his native Manhattan of course for those of you who have not yet heard. See “Eyes Wide Shut.” And yes, occasionally there are minor piano chords involved.

He could’ve whooped my ass and probably should have as we referred to her as the “whore next door” for the next 6 months

My last year of college this slutty freshman was our news clerk at our school newspaper and at least four of us nailed her at some point (the actual number was probably closer to eight, but we were all sneaky about it). We’d send her texts at like 2 a.m., drive to her dorm and pick her up, ply her with booze and then plow her. It was really heinous behavior on our parts. I’m certainly not proud of it.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:09 PM

October 3rd, 2009 at 6:12 PM

More terrible second-half defense by the Irish, but that is sure as hell not news.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:13 PM
I think Verne and the color guy need a reminder that for a play to be intentional grounding there can’t be an eligible recievers in the area of where it’s thrown, which there was.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:14 PM
24-13 with eight minutes to go to hit the over 45. That’s two scores, so it’s going to be close.

October 3rd, 2009 at 6:17 PM
Kinda hard to give you an update on your chances before the game. I was just saying that given the current game scenario, you weren’t going to hit your fake bet. Good news for you though, UCLA partially blocked a punt, so in decent field position. Less than 7 to go…
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:17 PM
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:18 PM
Why would you go for it here? Extend it to an eight point lead guaranteed. I guess common sense doesn’t come with the hot new coach who screams a lot and looks like a dick.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:18 PM
Yeah right. As bad as this defense is it’s still better than when he was there, and they have more than one recruit for each position too.

October 3rd, 2009 at 6:22 PM
If they played in the MAC, yeah.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:22 PM
That was a shitty playcall. If you’re going to run it with Locker, put him in the shotgun, spread the defense out and give him a running start.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:23 PM
What a play by Punto but tie game
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:23 PM
Ric Flair is doing commercials for the NC Education Lottery with the theme from 2001 playing. He keeps screaming at a little old lady. I am not making this shit up.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:23 PM
Did they intentionally put as many bad games as possible on tv today? Or did it just work out that way?
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:24 PM
Right decision by UW, but bad play call I say. Play action would have worked against that awful defense. And then to compound the crime, they allow an Irish run up the middle.
The Irish were lucky more than good in that series of plays, but they did take advantage of UW’s fuckups so give them credit.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:27 PM
What a bunch of wacko announcers for the Twins v. Royals game. “4-4 and it couldn’t be more dead even.” Ah, no shit

October 3rd, 2009 at 6:27 PM
the only art he approved of was bullshit hallmark looking paintings that reflected the aryan race and showed good, hard working germans working the land.
what bullshit.
The Rape of Europa is an excellent documentary about his art obsession and how it infected his commanders. It systematically traces how Hitler (along with the Catholic Church) stole billions of dollars in art, and how America actually had a whole unit whose job it was to find and protect shit. Compare and contrast this with how we treated valuables in Iraq.

Trufant’s a stud
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:30 PM
Trufant’s gotta try to pick that
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:31 PM
Mole – Have some patience with the ND defense. Tenuta’s in his second year as DC, and they don’t have the players he needs for his system. Once they get them, they’ll be nasty.

October 3rd, 2009 at 6:31 PM
I definitely received autocalls from him during the primaries, even though I was living in PA my cell is a Charlotte number. Always listened to them.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:32 PM
taguchi you watch smackdown yet? the rock’s promo sent me back in time. i loved it.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:33 PM
Can you tell me where I left my phone this afternoon?
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:33 PM
Was the Bama game filmed on a cell phone camera? Good lord man.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:34 PM
Yeah, always a good time remembering the Rock. Saw his first world title win right here in St. Louis. Memories. Off to dinner.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:35 PM
I’m more just upset with the tackling, you shouldn’t have to learn that stuff at this level. Overall they have improved vastly since Weis took over.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:35 PM

October 3rd, 2009 at 6:35 PM
Gooo!
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:36 PM
Nope, he won’t. He’ll never get nominated by the Republicans. I think the only celebrity in NC that has any sway on elections is Andy Griffith (got Bev the nomination)…even Richard Petty got denied.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:36 PM
Gonna go slam my cock in the freezer door.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:36 PM
Chris Polk gashes ND again… lots of missed tackles.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:37 PM
big firt down for washington, would suck to have to punt that right back to them.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:37 PM
Yeah I know Tallguy, I just love that he tossed around the idea in 2000 (was it 2000?). Our Governors always suck, imo.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:38 PM
set your DVRs ryan reynolds is hosting SNL tonight. or dont because im sure it wont be funny.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:39 PM
Touchdown Tigahs!
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:39 PM
Timeouts are valuable in a close game. Man, you don’t get that kind of insight on ESPN.
(actually don’t, probably)
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:40 PM
ILLINOIS HAS SCORED A TD!
But it’s against PSU so that only half counts.

It’s probably under the air mattress.

Hurray for garbage time TD’s!
/”We’re crumping. No, you’re not.”
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:42 PM
Not really…they just have no power. Marc Basnight runs the state, period. Bev’s got a chance, if only because somehow she was able to actually accomplish something as the Lt Gov.
Easley was the laziest motherfucker to ever win a public office…he basically spent his second term crabbing in Southport.
/yes, I can call her Bev
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:42 PM
What a catch by Denard Span
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:43 PM
Im gonna love watching Chris Polk for 3 more years.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:44 PM
Who ran against Easley, was it Vinroot?
I would have voted for Mac if I hadn’t changed my registration to PA last year.
/fuck Eastern NC, Charlotte should be the Capital
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:44 PM
Yes, thank you Washington.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:44 PM
There’s your ballgame.
Horrible tackling and shit redzone execution. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:45 PM
Chris Polk touchdown!
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:45 PM
That’s not a TD but it will stand.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:45 PM
Jesus what a catch from AJ Green.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:45 PM
Wow, A.J. Green!
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:46 PM
OH CHECK OUT THE BIG BRAIN ON MOLE
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:47 PM
Bad recruiting …and lack of teaching of the classic wrap technique, which I practise and almost never fails when I play rugby. The same technique works in football. Brian Urlacher made something big out of it in the NFL for awhile. No magic here — just wrap the guy up enough for your mates to pile on.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:47 PM
The announcer doesn’t grasp that the ball might not have been over the goalline when the knee hit. God I hate these announcers, and they’re my guys.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:47 PM
aj green looked like braylon edwards when he was with michigan…great catch.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:48 PM
Now UGA has to kick from the 20, and LSU is only gonna need a FG.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:48 PM
Actually this kind of sucks, just lets them run off more time before they get let in the endzone. shit.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:48 PM
why dont they have locker roll out and hit the te? that play works 80% of the time every time.

October 3rd, 2009 at 6:53 PM
Nice accidental tackle to save the TD, academic at this point though.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:53 PM

//horseshit

October 3rd, 2009 at 6:56 PM
I’m sure they did. But Raleigh is a brick toilet, Greensboro only exists to host basketball tournies and can’t even do that every year anymore, Greenville is the crack capital of the UNC system, and I don’t even need to mention all the depressingly humid military towns out that way.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:56 PM
Lotta weird celebration penalties here.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:57 PM
Am I the only one who thinks that Hitler and politics are not good mixes with a blog on college football?
Apparently you are.
These are some excessive celebration penalties. I hate when the refs make calls that have such an effect on field position in the last minute of the game.
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:58 PM
The Irish will lose, because this week and for good my literally hot-ass porn-stand-in ex-gf is not here to have hot porn sex for good luck like last week in the Purdue game:

October 3rd, 2009 at 7:15 PM
Never in my 20 years following Notre Dame football have I seen such a consistent, large gap between a great OFFENSE and a shitty, shitty defense at Notre Dame. Unreal!
/Cardiac Arrested All Season
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:16 PM
Yes. Saban was personal. But this game actually means something. We were done before we played them. The only satisfaction we could get from that game was ruining Alabama’s season. If we get a miracle next week, Alabama is the only big test we have left.
/oh wait, the rematch against Florida in the SEC Championship
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:16 PM
Flipped over to Mountain West Network for the SMU-TCU game. It’s bad enough that TCU is going to kick our ass, but I have to listen to their broadcasters tell me about it.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:16 PM
why isn’t tenuta the DC? he’s better than than corwin brown.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:17 PM
Earthquake Game 2.0?
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:17 PM
One bad thing about this LSU team, though. And I’m calling it right now:
Jordan Jefferson is the Aaron Brooks of college football. The guy makes so many stupid and miraculous plays, usually in succession. You think Notre Dame gives you heart attacks?
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:17 PM
tie ball game. c’mon washington.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:17 PM
They’ve got some funky co-coordinator thing going on that I don’t get.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:18 PM
i hate to say this but…bama is probably going to be a little too much to handle.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:18 PM
This game is going to fucking kill me.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:18 PM
Dude’s knee was down prior to crossing on that last two point cnversion. How do they not review that? That was more obvious than the TD taken form UDub.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:18 PM
He’s not? That’s just fucking dumb.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:18 PM
Oh sweet a death story, that’ll keep the upbeat tempo of this game going.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:18 PM
Other gamblers take note:
Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, and Iowa hardly ever cover against underdogs. Bet only with prudence and hoping for some luck though. With the Irish, have hot porn sex with your gf in the 4th quarter when they are behind too.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:18 PM
yea i know, i don’t get it either…tenuta has proven he’s a GREAT dc…brown is…well…he’s corwin brown.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:19 PM
I was at the Earthquake Game. We lost to Ohio State the week before. We were kind of deflated.
I was also at the Saban game too.
/99 percent sure I won’t be in Tiger Stadium next week
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:19 PM
Tenuta is the coordinator and LB coach, Brown is the “co”coordinator and DB coach. That’s how I understand it.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:20 PM
For some reason, we always play well in Alabama. I really think we can beat them.

And folks wonder why broadcasting is in trouble?
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:26 PM
Time for another red zone implosion!
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:26 PM
Missed the first half of their first play here too. Tate got it to the five.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:27 PM
Sanders would you do Gertrude in exchange for getting a shot at the three to four hot ones in the pic. And/or UGA. (Maybe you are a furry fan.)
Wonder if Willingham is drinking himself silly right now.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:28 PM
275 yards total offense for Tate today.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:28 PM
well…the OSU game might be done with halfway thru the 1st quarter…it’s 10-0 and indiana just coughed it up.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:29 PM
Absolutely. I expect a riot at the Gator bus as fans try to re-concuss Tebow on the way in.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:29 PM

Glad ND won.
spencer, read earlier about going to an ND game. It is quite an experience. I’ve been to four games there. A lot of my HS buddies went there (or Boston College).

On the East Coast with regard to college football, we get the shaft as usual but thank God for the game in Miami on ABC!
Three games otherwise no one but serious homers plus Gods could give a fuck about with shitty-ass teams to boot:
Auburn-Tennessee (ESPN)
Texas A&M-Arkansas (narrated by the annoying Bob “Fuckin” Davie!)
and last but not least (ESPN 2)
Ole Miss-Vanderbilt (ESPN U)
ABC, but with Brent “Fucking Himself” Musberger and Kurt “Suckup” Herbstreit, with the only real game in town
Boo-yah more devoted Wal-Mart shoppers and callers for Jim Cramer’s Mad Money with the same exact fuckin’ vote as the rest of us non-felons! America Fuck Yeah! Or should I say just “FUCK!”
October 3rd, 2009 at 8:06 PM
Ha ha Brent had his money on Georgia -3 (as did TBL dismissing foolishly my pick of LSU +3 e-mailed to him) and on Notre Dame foolishly -13.5 perhaps too, as he just said they both “survived” as he went to break.
When you come from behind to win at home, and when you are on the road in the SEC to do the same, I’d say it’s more than just “survivin’” lucky or not.
