Eliza Dushku … because we can’t get enough references to the 1930s … for the 2nd time, the LA Times hammers Jay Leno’s show … Faux Fox News is “un-American.” Oh, snap! … Calvin Trillin is a good story-teller …the robber who used a bra … college kid named Hung busted exposing himself to women … Apple profits surge, too bad we sold already … man takes a car for a test drive, decides to steal the ride … what do Ohio State fans think of this Cincinnati shirt? …
Very, very interesting piece on why sports aggregators are beloved and news aggregators are disliked. Curious as to your thoughts. (The Big Money)
Darryl Strawberry owes the IRS $554,000. (Tax Watchdog)
Gary Parrish loves him some Kenny Boynton. The incoming Florida point guard is better than the best PG in the Pac-10? Really? Also, Chris Warren is too low. Awesome freshman year was injured last year. (CBS Sports)
The real estate around NYC is so bad, realtors are now pitching athletes instead of Wall Street types. (NYT)
“I’m not as dumb as people think. I’m a smart guy.” Stephen Jackson, ladies and gentleman. (Oakland Tribune)
Jason Whitlock injured his back weightlifting, and was forced to watch the Chiefs on TV. T’was not an enjoyable experience. (KC Star)
Michael Crabtree probably starting Sunday for the 49ers. (Press Democrat)
“I am a lifelong Coke fan, but, come on, do they really still need to advertise? Even a billion Chinese know about the stuff by now. Sure, there might be a handful of Jehovah’s Witnesses who don’t drink Coke, but they don’t own TVs, so why bother?” (WP)
Rumor: Ted Ginn is on the trading block. Seems like a reach. (Pro Football Weekly)
Well, this is a pretty incredible story that runners will like. (Denver Post)
Does it make sense for websites to pay for scoops? (The Awl)
Prince Naseem Hamed, one-time WBA feather-weight World Champion, has put on a few pounds. (Daily Mail)
Dirtiest play in the NFL this season: Dante Wesley of the Panthers hitting Clifton Brown of the Bucs. A brawl followed.

Tracy Morgan just killed it on Stern.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:01 AM
yes he did, SW. banner day – artie’s back, too!
October 20th, 2009 at 8:04 AM
Tracy Morgan was hilarious. That sex line phone call had me in tears.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:05 AM
That Norman Chad article is a direct ripoff of a David Cross bit.
And surprise surprise mister trendy drinks PBR.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:06 AM
As for the 1930’s article, the “no” part of it seems a lot more convincing, seeing as it makes actual numerical comparisons to the 30’s.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:08 AM
woke up at 7 so i missed the chat about it, waiting for 9 and the replay.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:11 AM
The hit is clean, except its incredibly early, thus illegal
October 20th, 2009 at 8:15 AM
basically what i got out of this article is that Fox is right of center. thanks for the newsflash.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:16 AM
Imagine(or not) if Whitlock didn’t “work out”…
October 20th, 2009 at 8:18 AM
He’d be a stand in for Jerome Bettis?
October 20th, 2009 at 8:21 AM
October 20th, 2009 at 8:22 AM
Fox’s defense of Wesley after he got suspended is inexcusable, and he should get fined too.
Really John? I don’t think you know what a split second is.
Most unlikeable team in the league, those jerseys aren’t helping.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:22 AM
there was a market for right of center, right wing, whatever cable news and fox news brilliantly took advantage of that. The same could be said for msnbc and keith olbermann.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:24 AM
Tedd ginn on the trading block..i thought you couldnt make trades after week 6?
October 20th, 2009 at 8:25 AM
And I get that Fox way too often for any legitimate news outlet simply makes shit up. I’ve had a subscription with the WSJ for about 4 years, and while I don’t usually like their right of center slant, they actually report news even if it doesn’t make liberals look bad or flatter conservatives. Fox would rather spend their time circle-jerking over whether all-powerful Acorn poses the greatest threat to our nation since Naziism.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:26 AM
kyle orton is amazing
October 20th, 2009 at 8:26 AM
lightweight.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:27 AM
exactly, many liberals can’t own that though and if they do they say “well fox started it”
/many libs are super whinny puss’s
October 20th, 2009 at 8:27 AM
A crying fucking shame
October 20th, 2009 at 8:28 AM
Re: aggregators article
Dierkes highlights the hard news on which newspapers are staking their value. Again, it’s worth comparing this to other aggregators: When the Huffington Post namechecks a writer, it’s for an op-ed piece—something by a Maureen Dowd or a Meghan McCain, the kind of byline readers might actually notice, but not the expensive, access-driven journalism cherished by the media. When MLBTradeRumors names names, it does so for real reporting.
yup.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:31 AM
he was pumped up after Purdue’s big win.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:31 AM
Fox news isn’t “un-American” but hannity, Glenn beck, et al, are the biggest bunch of hypocrites on the block
October 20th, 2009 at 8:33 AM
I don’t watch MSNBC (except when the early rounds of Westminster are on it), but is their entire network in the same vein as KO? Was CNN right wing when Glenn Beck was there along with Lou Dobbs? Fox has had no alternative voice since Colmes left.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:34 AM
I was a huge Prince Naseem fan back in the day. Dude had serious style i the ring. His fight against Kevin Kelley is still one of the best I’ve ever seen.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:34 AM
For real?
October 20th, 2009 at 8:35 AM
Fox would rather spend their time circle-jerking over whether all-powerful Acorn poses the greatest threat to our nation since Naziism.
That’s the thing though…Fox trumpets its opinion and editorial shows more than actually reporting the news. I think Brit Hume and Shepard Smith are fantastic journalists, but they get overshadowed by the massive toolboxes that occupy the 7-10pm time slots.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:35 AM
I don’t watch MSNBC (except when the early rounds of Westminster are on it), but is their entire network in the same vein as KO?
Yes, they slant very, very, very, very heavily to the left.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:37 AM
Yep. I like Major Garrett too, seems like a pretty level headed cat.
Anderson Cooper, Campbell Brown, and Blitzer are just as bad as anyone on Fox. Can’t stand either network.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:38 AM
I do like Jack Cafferty though.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:38 AM
BBC!
October 20th, 2009 at 8:39 AM
BBC!
agreed.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:40 AM
Fox would rather spend their time circle-jerking over whether all-powerful Acorn poses the greatest threat to our nation since Naziism.
Actually, I think they, like the rest of the media, pretty much watched two college kids blown that organization up and do the job a “real media” would have done.
Nice to hear a member of the press call reporting and free speech un-American. Wow. Say whatever you want, as long as we like it.
Didn’t “Progressives” complain about Conservatives doing this for years?
October 20th, 2009 at 8:40 AM
Dont they employ Joe Scarborough and Pat Robertson? Not quite the same thing as Fox.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:41 AM
Maybe he should switch to something low impact like jogging?
October 20th, 2009 at 8:42 AM
Buchanan, sorry.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:43 AM
That’s the catch. People who defend Fox just STFU until they decide to give a liberal former Democratic Congressman three hours of morning programming or the equivalent or when MSNBC spends a week dedicating their coverage to the left’s equivalent of Teebaggers.
Again, I don’t mind a right of center news outfit, just one that shows a hint of intellectual honesty outside a few like Shep Smith. And don’t just blame the 7pm-10pm block, the morning shows are just as bad.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:43 AM
i still watch fox. usually Special Report w/Bret Baier at 6pm, and Fox and Friends on Saturday morning. occasionally i will watch O’Reilly depending on his guests and topics. I can’t deal with Hannity, and Glenn Beck is crazy. I actually read the entire trascript of hannity and michael moore interview from a couple weeks ago and it was just the perfect example of what this country has become. left and right agenda. not what is really best for the people. Hannity basically lied about going to church in the interview, but said he did so not to lose an argument, and Moore refused to admit that he was worth millions because it would have cost him an argument. they were pathetic.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:44 AM
Yea but Scarborough seems to have become a moderate since he got the show (which i like) and Buchanan is the lone wolf like Holmes was at fox.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:45 AM
Shep Smith is pretty good, but Hume is a tool. What drives me nuts about Cable News (all of it) is that the whole purpose of it is not to inform, but rather make a profit. News used to be about informing people on the issues of the dat, now we get Glenn Beck, a radio DJ, rambling on about how the government is going to infect you with some disease if you get the flu vaccine or how the current push for volunteerism is just a ruse in order to control you.
Olbermann and Hannity are pretty much the same, just on opposite sides, though Hannity’s hypocricy is mind-numbing. All one has to do is look at how the tea-bagger protests were covered by Fox to see that they aren’t “right-of-center,” as Sparty said. They are flat out in the tank for the Right. But, what does MSNBC do when they see Fox act as biased as they do? They do the same thing except they go to the Left. It is easy to take a story from an biased angle as opposed to getting both sides and actually report rather than editorialize.
/I fucking hate cable news
October 20th, 2009 at 8:47 AM
I checked out Fox and MSNBC last time I was in the U.S. (we don’t get them in Canada). I was totally captivated by what a total cluster fuck they are. Those are not news networks.
They are basically a mix of Jerry Springer (the contrived outrage) and an unfunny Daily Show (the selectivity of what they present). The actual facts of a given story are so far buried beneath the partisan hackery that there is no news value whatsoever. People can’t help but but become less informed when they watch those networks because they distort the facts beyond all recognition.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:49 AM
Well, this is a pretty incredible story that runners will like.
Why will only runners like that story? What about paralytics?
October 20th, 2009 at 8:49 AM
or how fox has embraced the tea baggers as good ole Americans standing up for their rights while anti war protestors during bush were enemys of the state and should be tried for treason
October 20th, 2009 at 8:50 AM
One of the more exciting crazily quick (even though it was delayed) fights ever. Hamed was a jackass, but the man had boxing talent that couldn’t be translated. He was so unprepared for Barrera, he never got over that.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:50 AM
That piece was cringe-worthy to watch and Acorn has so many problems, but why then does Fox not report on the horrible shit that Blackwater does? Again, they are ridiculously biased, but so is MSNBC. Cable news is absolutely horribe for society, but it is not going anywhere.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:50 AM
The only time I watch Fox News is at the gym, when I’ll flip to it during commercials from PTI or whatever else is on. Usually, it’s Glenn Beck, and he is just “out there”. Yesterday he was bemoaning the fact that the newspapers may be getting a bailout because they cater to the Obama administration, yet places like Fox News, which operate responsibly and make a profit, won’t see anything. He was even using an old-school blackboard and chalk.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:51 AM
Dont they employ Joe Scarborough and Pat Robertson? Not quite the same thing as Fox.
I watch an early hour of Morning Joe every AM (finally realized why do I watch Matzah & Meatball? I hate them). The rest of MSNBC’s shows are a joke, and I usually catch a few minutes of some of them most nights, so I know their schtick.
I will say O’Reilly is by far the least lunatic between Hannity and Beck. The other guys I cannot watch. He has supported Obama on many issues, and at least will have Dems on every night (being the “least lunatic” is something, right??-lol)
October 20th, 2009 at 8:52 AM
That Prince guy fought Penn State’s old kicker?
October 20th, 2009 at 8:52 AM
The thing I hate about cable news is…….zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
October 20th, 2009 at 8:53 AM
That’s awesome. That dude is either crazy like a fox or just plain batshit crazy.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:54 AM
Boxing was exciting as shit back in those days with guys like him and perhaps the greatest boxing talent ever, Roy Jones Jr. I’m pretty pumped for Cotto-Pacman, though. I think Cotto wins and fucks everybody’s plans of a Mayweather-Pacman megafight.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:54 AM
this un-american shit is so stupid. offering an opinion that questions the government is quintessentially american. that is the foundation of america. by the people, of the people, for the people.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:55 AM
OK, anybody…
how wide is the rift between Stephen Jackson’s “i’m not as dumb as you think,” and “I’m a smart guy?”
October 20th, 2009 at 8:55 AM
“I’m not as dumb as people think. I’m a smart guy.” Stephen Jackson, ladies and gentleman
Isn’t that Fredo’s line?
October 20th, 2009 at 8:56 AM
Right on. Bill-O is easily the most sane person on that network outside of Smith, but even he is a little nuts at times with his over-the-top bravado. I have to think he catches a little bit of Beck at times and wonders how the dude is not in an asylum somewhere.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:56 AM
yeah theres actually a decent chance that hes not as dumb as i think he is
October 20th, 2009 at 8:56 AM
exactly.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:57 AM
This isn’t from yesterday, but fast forward to the 4 minute mark. This is his typical blackboard schtickhttp://mediamatters.org/mmtv/200908250052
October 20th, 2009 at 8:58 AM
anyone who gets their information soley from MSNBC, CNN and/or Fox is probably a leading example and candidate of why selective sterilization should be enforced.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:59 AM
Ugh, I fucking hated that guy, but that fight he had against Kevin Kelley in ‘97 was entertaining as hell.
Hate to break to everyone, but all of cable news is virtually unwatchable anymore. I listen to liberal voices and I listen to conservative, and I usually find I don’t agree with either of them fully.
This country needs a 3rd party far more than it needs a universal health care plan.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:59 AM
I agree – but there comes a point where Fox News especially comes off as just being completely disagreeable/disingenuous. Most (not all) of their “news” or opinion shows are based on arguing or making wild allegations to whatever the Democrats/Obama are doing.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:59 AM
what about fox news and rush limbaugh?
October 20th, 2009 at 9:00 AM
Or the argument against voting. It is sad that some of the idiots in this country have a vote that counts as much as mine.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:00 AM
selective sterilization
That’s Glen Beck’s topic du jour. The selective sterilization of conservatives who love America by the Obama Administration.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:01 AM
how wide is the rift between Stephen Jackson’s “i’m not as dumb as you think,” and “I’m a smart guy?”
All I know is TBL’s mancrush on Steph Curry has created 6 post/references Jackson n the last month.
The Warriors are gonna get more coverage on TBL then they do in the Oakland paper and ESPN
October 20th, 2009 at 9:03 AM
Whatever happened to Spence?
October 20th, 2009 at 9:03 AM
What’s a 3rd party going to do save add another voice to the fray. What needs to happen is people from both parties actually work together on solving problems, instead of sniping at each other constantly.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:05 AM
This.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:05 AM
this guy on American Justice has a fantastic mullett. he’s all business up front, but he parties down in the back
October 20th, 2009 at 9:07 AM
bingo. there was a time (a long time ago) that democrats and republicans were able to work together more closely on things because it was more about serving the people and not special interest groups that helped put their asses in office with campaign financing.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:08 AM
Whatever happened to Spence?
Not a single one of poor Spencer’s arguments have any validity anymore, except that Steelers fans are toothless retards.
You don’t need teeth or IQ points to know how bad teams in Ohio suck, though, so he wouldn’t have any fun being here this week.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:08 AM
This country needs a 3rd party far more than it needs a universal health care plan.
I went to Walgreens on Friday to fill a cortizone cream prescription for this staph infection I got. The pharmacist tells me the cream is $492, and he has to call Blue Cross for approval. I get called yeserday and they tell me I owe $35.
The skeptic in me says this new plan is not going to be that good (even though supposedly it will be the same if I want it to be)
October 20th, 2009 at 9:09 AM
can anyone say term limits for senators and representatives?
October 20th, 2009 at 9:10 AM
Cortizone10 is like three bucks.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:12 AM
@jpq: did you have to pay the $492 upfront and they reimburse you for the difference?
October 20th, 2009 at 9:12 AM
Ding Ding Ding!!!
/never going to happen
October 20th, 2009 at 9:12 AM
Term limits make no sense for senators, because their power is in their seniority. For the House, I’m all for it. After 4 terms as a congressman, it’s time to run for the Senate, or go away.
That makes Congressmen from less populous states more powerful than congressmen from the big states, though.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:12 AM
At the same time, those reforms has helped to fuel the partisan split. Here in Minnesota, the GOP and DFL used to work together (to a point) and were actually on speaking terms with each other. That’s because they actually knew each other from dinners, time out at the bar, etc. Reform has caused members from each party to fraternize with each other. It’s easier to not work together and speak ill of someone you do not know.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:13 AM
I know that everybody has chimed in at this point, but I still think the Jay Leno show is a future punchline similar to New Coke. I mean it’s just bad on every conceivable conceptual level. NBC has essentially blown up their entire financial model to get a cheap show on at 10pm.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:14 AM
highlight of the AM:
18 wheeler just rolled up to neighbor’s house. looks like they ordered an exotic car, or something high end enough to be delivered. i can only see part of the car, can’t tell make or model. silver appears to be the color.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:14 AM
Cortizone10 is like three bucks.
mole, I tried that, and that’s why it ended up turning into staph. This is some high octane, .1% hygwywodhja8x cream (can’t remember name).
October 20th, 2009 at 9:14 AM
+1 on Calvin Trillin. His memoir “Messages from My Father” is one of my favorite reads ever.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:16 AM
Go out there, take a picture with your iPhone and report back!
October 20th, 2009 at 9:17 AM
@jpq: did you have to pay the $492 upfront and they reimburse you for the difference?
wilhelm: no, that’s why they didn’t get back to me until yesterday. I told them I didn’t want it until I knew what my co-pay would be. The Dr gave me a coupon for $75/off when I left the office Friday, so I figured it was $100-$150, not almost $500.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:17 AM
Gotcha.
My Blue Cross plan is 10 bucks for generic and 25 for name brands, shit is on point. When I had high end United Healthcare through my dad my drugs cost more than that, but now that I’m paying for my own it’s cheaper, not sure how that worked out.
Plus I haven’t been billed yet this month for my premium, hopefully they think I’m dead.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:17 AM
va 4 lovers … did you read this Trillin story?
http://www.newyorker.com/archive/2006/03/27/060327fa_fact_trillin
best thing i’ve read from him. awesome, powerful read.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:18 AM
their individual power/career is secondary to their primary goal of serving the public. power corrupts, and with enough time even the most idealistic of politicians will become the victim of special interest/re-election campaigns.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:19 AM
W
Since when would another voice be bad? Can we agree that the two voices we have now are completely self-serving?
When a politician says that “we need to work together” or “we need to reach across the aisle”, what they really mean is “the assholes on the other side of this issue should be forced to agree with me”.
A 3rd party will keep the other two parties honest. Since when has competition NOT benefited the American people?
Both major parties are so indebted to their lobbying groups, you can stop regarding some of these people as politicians and start regarding them as an extension of the lobbyists who fund their careers. Don’t you think these pigs have been at the trough long enough?
October 20th, 2009 at 9:20 AM
TBL, could be a Tesla. they deliver to your home.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:21 AM
If that time ever did exist, it has come and gone.
What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result?
October 20th, 2009 at 9:21 AM
TBL, could be a Tesla. they deliver to your home.
Enterprise?
October 20th, 2009 at 9:24 AM
just got back from court, $300 for a fucking noise violation. Also just shelled out this months rent, $625. And a security deposit for a house for NEXT year, $600. Can i file for bankruptcy?
October 20th, 2009 at 9:25 AM
my guess is porsche. we haven’t met these neighbors yet, but they drive nice cars already. guess they’re swimming in money.
meanwhile, we have 2 beat up cars that both have over 120k miles on ‘em. point A to point B, baby …
October 20th, 2009 at 9:26 AM
Tell the Hooters waitress to be more quiet next time.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:26 AM
gotcha. my fiance has a plan similar, but the frustrating thing is she has to go through the process of paying up front and then “possibly” getting reimbursed from her provider for essential lady exams. When money is tight, and it has been, she’s actually had serious doubts of getting the exams b/c it can’t be afforded if there’s no reimbursment.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:27 AM
TBL, i thought you lived in the city. why do you need 2 cars?
October 20th, 2009 at 9:29 AM
Hawkeye, LOL. I didn’t even see a judge or anything, just got a piece of paper saying pay this in a month or we’ll come arrest you. I’m giving plasma starting next week, $70/week so I should be good.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:29 AM
beat me to it, Hawkeye -lol
wilhelm: had it been a procedure and not an ointment, I probably would have paid and gone through reimbursement. I was lucky in that he gave me about 10 mini cortisone injections in my foot (that hurt like hell) a few days earlier, and had started antibiotics, so I felt I could wait it out.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:32 AM
I did that in high school once I turned 18, such an easy way to facilitate a drug habit. I loved the feeling of the salene going into my arm at the end.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:34 AM
@jpq: that’s my main hang up with the current health insurance in this country. it’s expensive and too many people actually have to decide: health care cost + bills, or just bills.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:36 AM
car: looks to be a late 60s, early 70s car that steve mcqueen might have driven. can’t find my binocs or i’d get the label off the side.
my guess is 68/69 mustang
http://images.google.com/images?q=1969%20ford%20mustang&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi
i’d say it most looks like this one (but in bright red)

October 20th, 2009 at 9:36 AM
Fuck that. Needles give me the willies. I hate those things.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:38 AM
Uh huh, like they’re not sitting right next to your laptop and you’re not spinning in a wheelchair while wearing a bathrobe.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:38 AM
And you initially thought it was a Porsche? For shame.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:40 AM
St. Bear – I thought Porsche because on the 18 wheeler, some middle doors were open (I guess so people could get in that way to help get the car out). There was a silver car i could see there. However, the Mustang was behind it (out of sight).
October 20th, 2009 at 9:40 AM
Is it Nick Cage and his 67 Shelby Mustang GT? Eleanor? That car is amazing.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:44 AM
You don’t like the feeling of a thick needle sticking in your arm for an our while the machines cycles pint after pint of blood? Or when they do it from a vein in your hand? Pussy.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:46 AM
Just giving you a hard time, TBL.
My uncle has one of these in Cherry Metallic Red with white leather interior. That car is boss. He put in a 351 Cleveland engine that puts out over 400HP. When you stomp the gas, the front of the car lifts off the ground.
/yeah, I’ve got a thing for Mustangs
October 20th, 2009 at 9:49 AM
My uncle has one of these in Cherry Metallic Red with white leather interior.
i’d drown a bag of puppies for that car.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:51 AM
Shelby Mustang 500KR.
damn youngsters
October 20th, 2009 at 9:52 AM
Yeah me to, I was pissed that his second kid was a son because for a while I was in line to inherit it.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:55 AM
if only they still made cars like that.
like the new 2009 mustang, but nothing will match the sweetness of any muscle car from 1962 to 1969.

Have you seen any of the rumours about the 2012 redesign? They’re taking a lot of cues from the Giugiaro Mustang.

That damn balloon boy fucked up my streak of not watching any of the cable news stations.

That front end looks exactly like a Camaro.
Both of which I would never in a million years buy.

The new ones, that is.
… and anything after 1980

i’ve seen some concept images over the years about the 2012 design, i think it’s OK, i’m just more of a classic design type of guy.
out of all the new muscle cars, i like the new camaro the best b/c it doesn’t feel like the designers just took a Gen1 Camaro and traced the original design like the mustang and challenger. would i buy it? nope.
if i buy anything when i hit 40, it would be a corvette, current design only b/c the c5 didn’t do it for me unless it was a Z06 and the true classics will either be too expensive to buy or too costly to fuel.

term limits + safe gerrymandered districts = california
it’s a bad idea. the partisanship gets worse not better. no incentive to come up with a solution b/c you’ll be out of office in 3 yrs.

now the lady who takes my blood can never find a vein.
that’s no fun. I always get the needle all the way through the vein, so that after 5 minutes, and despite my protests, all the blood i’m supposed to be donating is welling up in my arm, and then they stop. So I get a huge bruise for about a week.
I don’t “always” get that, but that’s my problem when there’s a problem. I’m actually off of giving blood, because I can’t pick the baby up when I do.

When you consider the dire indebted financial situation of the ownership by media conglomerates of various media holdings like newspapers and crap cable “news,” I am just plain thrilled that it won’t be long before they just have to chop out much of this propaganda programming.
At least most folks except the Kool-Aid drinkers including the major partisan types are aware now that most of the folks you see are just partisan shills and hacks not reporters and the like “looking out for you” and all that horseshit they got away with for decades before the internet.
/Hardly watch TV except for sports and occasional late night movie
//More the case with Gen Y overwhelmingly as well, though it seems too few over 40 have figured that out
