Teams with the #1 pick are under pressure to get that player signed before they draft him or end up with a JaMarcus Russell situation. The Texans made offers to Bush, Young and Williams. Bush and Young wanted more than offered and the Texans opted to go with the guy willing to sign.

One other thing…

Reggie Bush sucks, that is well known. He should be the poster child for not drafting athletes over football players. I’m 100% sure that Reggie is a better athlete than Slaton and Harvin. He’s faster and more agile than both of them. But can he play football? No fuckity-fuck no! I wanted him to prove me wrong four years in a row, but it’s not gonna happen. The NFL game never slowed down for him and that is sad. Dude shoulda been the next Gayle Sayers, not a effing bust.

i did pedict that the saints would lose this game.
Dammit, I wanted the Saints to stay unbeaten. Now the Colts will be the “best team in the NFL.”
You can fucking have it. None of us really have true faith in this team yet.
So I guess 70 and sunny is too nasty for the dome-fraud Saints.

After watching is Colts-Pats “NFL’s Greatest Games” 2006 AFC Champ Game thing, I have less respect than ever for Rodney Harrison. “Every play the Colts ran that was successful was because I wasn’t there.”

Good Lord, cut him a crybaby-sized towel. Suck it up, shithead. The great teams don’t bemoan their injuries, they overcome. The 2006 Pats weren’t a great team. Pssst…neither were the 2006 Colts, but the Super Bowl isn’t always won by a great team, sometimes it’s just a good team that catches a few breaks. Like, I dunno, the last three teams to win that game…

I guess my ultimate standard is performance in important games. I mean I would put a guy in the HOF of any sport if he was stellar in postseason and championship games but sub-HOF in regular season games. Who gets it done when it’s one and done? Who performs under pressure? That means the most to me

Honestly, I don’t know how to begin to compare athletes and eras. All I know is, from all that I’ve read, heard and the games (and game film) that I’ve seen, Unitas and Manning are the two best to have done it. Elway is a close third. Then Graham. Then Montana. Then probably Tom Terrific. After that, who knows, although Marino has to be in there shortly after.
