I love when people remember the past and exaggerate the greatness of things without taking everything into consideration.

The 08 Dream Team would have given the 92 team a run for thier money. I’m not saying they would have won, but it definetely would not be a cakewalk like you want to believe.

Before you even bring it up: The international competition now is MUCH, much greater than it was 17 years ago.

I would take the ‘92 team in their prime against Kobe, LBJ, and any of the other so-called superstars in today’s game. It wouldn’t even be a contest.

Dream Team in their prime may have been better but its straight up hyperbole to say it wouldn’t be a contest. Another thing is other than Kobe none of the current crop of players have reached their prime as of yet, or are just scratching that surface.

That collection of players represents everything that was great about the league at one time. The current crop suffers in comparison. LeBron couldn’t hold Bird’s mullet. Kobe couldn’t fill Magic’s glory hole.

the only thing you’re missing is inclding the fact that those three things are available to the women and they partake like they are going out of style.

Hmmm, good points. Let’s call it a good place to visit then. In summer. Away from any place which is ok with said women not being fully clothed.

They brought up the whole Isiah/Magic/Dream Team thing. Simmons said he wanted them to do a 30 for 30 on the Dream Team and the Isiah issue, but the NBA didn’t want to do it, and since they (NBA) owned the footage, that basically killed it.

Speaking of Simmons, he was on Tony Kornheiser’s radio show a little while ago. He started off by saying he’d do something Tirico wouldn’t, “laugh at your (Tony’s) jokes”. Funny in the moment if you heard it.
