Shaq’s touches have to come from somewhere, right? And he’s going to want them in the paint. And nobody’s going to double him anymore. So what’s that going to help?

As for anything poor Chandler does on Charlotte, that’s not his fault. He’s a complimentary player who is now on a very bad team. There’s no way he does well.

He’s good at playing D, rebounding, getting out of the way, and catching lobs.

I know, sss, but he was Awful in game against boston and dide none of the above. Under Mike Brown the cavs will be a slowed paced team and Shaq is hopefully better suited for it (I think they could benefit by giving him some more touches in the post). Chadler D is better but Cavs were a very good defense team last year with Z out there.

I know, but Shaq’s policy is scorched earth, and then you only have less than a half season to try and integrate. It feels like you’re risking so much to trade for Shaq and then have to dump him midseason.

Chandler was always definitely going to get paid next year anyway.

I have said about 45 times that they should have traded for Tyson Chandler,

But if he picks up his option you are done for the follow year and he has way less trade value this year.

This is true. Against good teams how many times do the Cavs go out to an early double digit lead, lose most if not all of it by half-time, and then start the 2nd half with a 10-2 run or worse against them? It is groundhog day. Some of this must be Mike Brown’s fault.

nobody wants Wallace back. There were tons of trades available, and Ben Wallace was the most valuable chip Cleveland had. He took a miniscule buyout and was worth 12 million in trade value, by himself.
