NFL Early Games: Philly Will be Clinically Insane All Day Long
NFL November 1st. 2009, 2:00pm
Last Sunday’s early games were a trainwreck. Thankfully, today’s are much, much better. If any of the following showdowns are on in your area, you’re in luck. Actually, any time the Colts are on, I love it. Peyton is simply fun to watch.
NY Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles — Tony Siragusa will be doing sideline reports with a cheesesteak in each arm and sauteed onions dangling from his chin.
Denver @ Baltimore — Dan Dierdorf was a football player. Today, he points out all the guys who are football players.
San Francisco 49ers @ Indianapolis Colts — Where the ‘Niners and playoff talk start becoming bitter rivals.
Miami @ NY Jets — Nantz and Simms. Can’t go wrong.
If any of the following games are on in your area, you might want to run outside and do a can-opener into a giant pile of leaves.
St. Louis Rams @ Detroit Lions — The Cyanide Super Bowl.
Seattle Seahawks @ Dallas Cowboys — Dick Stockton on Jerry’s big TV will be the highlight of this one.
Cleveland @ Chicago — Kevin Harlan will do his vociferous best to make this one exciting.
Houston @ Buffalo — Can’t wait.

neither can i. i got that, talladega superspeedway, brett favre vs packers and the world series
November 1st, 2009 at 2:04 PM
Nantz and Simms doing either the Patriots or Jets has officially gotten worse than Aikman covering the Cowboys and/or the rest of the NFC East.
And speaking of the Cowboys, we’re getting the fucking Cowboys in Baton Rouge. You suck, Fox.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:04 PM
Simms-nantz on jets-dolphins. sweet! now if i could only watch online (since Redzone is going to cut away, obvs)
November 1st, 2009 at 2:05 PM
Joe Staley is down. Uh oh.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:05 PM
awesome. 3 and out for sanchise
November 1st, 2009 at 2:06 PM
and the eagles are on the board, as andre the giant rumbles 41 yards for a TD.
sparty must be in tears
November 1st, 2009 at 2:08 PM
What the F Giants
November 1st, 2009 at 2:09 PM
I don’t mind Simms. He’s more reasonable than most.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:10 PM
i can see a huge shit fest in buffalo
November 1st, 2009 at 2:12 PM
It’s not the fact that I want Simms or Aikman. It’s the fact that they have the best producers, camera operators, graphics people, and statisticians. Like last week when the Saints got the shit team and they couldn’t find the opening kickoff.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:13 PM
pickems
November 1st, 2009 at 2:14 PM
Colts dodge some early shrapnel with a couple fumbles going their way.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:14 PM
fuck off giants
November 1st, 2009 at 2:14 PM
eagles 14-0! celek with a TD catch
November 1st, 2009 at 2:14 PM
Eagles looking very dominant today.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:14 PM
son of a whore. daniels is down.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:15 PM
The Giants are last year’s Cowboys.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:16 PM
oops, 13-0 …xpt was blocked.
anyone have a link for the jets-dolphins game online hELP!
November 1st, 2009 at 2:17 PM
are the giants and jets ever on at the same time? its gotta suck to miss the jets game because the giants game is on.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:17 PM
The Giants have no veteran receivers and their secondary has been playing on borrowed time since the Cowboys game. They were never the #1 team in the NFL.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:19 PM
Never, but they did it twice this year. This week because the World Series is being played in the same parking lot, and earlier this year because of Jewish holidays (I believe). Correct me if I’m wrong.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:19 PM
Frank Gore to the house. 49ers 7-0 on the 64-yard TD run up the middle.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:20 PM
well how the fuck are you supposed to be a fan of either team if you cant watch them half the time? it doesnt make sense to me. 2 different conferences have 2 different networks. if thats still a problem put them on at 1 and 4
November 1st, 2009 at 2:23 PM
Derrick Mason was just screwed. I think you should be allowed to take your helmet off and tell an official how incompetent he is if he misses something that obvious.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:24 PM
Niners have returned to glory.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:25 PM
This is two special circumstances that happen almost never. Both times the Giants game was originally scheduled for 4 and they changed it.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:25 PM
If any of the following games are on in your area, you might want to run outside and do a can-opener into a giant pile of leaves.
I remember the can-opener. Also, I dropped my son in a pile of leaves on Friday. Holy crap. They don’t provide much cushion at all. He went straight through a pretty large pile and rammed his head on the ground. Oops.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:26 PM
Glad the Colts decided to get this stinker out of the way today. Cripes, what a terrible first five minutes.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:27 PM
Ed Reed just lit up a bitch. Adrian Peterson in reverse.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:27 PM
FUCKING SLATON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 1st, 2009 at 2:27 PM
Did the Colts defense turn back to about 4 years ago?
And Suggs just nailed Moreno!
November 1st, 2009 at 2:27 PM
Seriously, you have to get a link to this if you haven’t seen it.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:28 PM
Ed Reed just DECLEATED knowshon, wow…what a hit
November 1st, 2009 at 2:28 PM
i must have said that every week this year
November 1st, 2009 at 2:28 PM
I’d be really nervous if I had Colts -13 right now.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:30 PM
I won’t get nervous yet. I’m not a pussy.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:30 PM
sanchez got hit hard. stayed down. any jets fans want to watch the game
http://www.atdhe.net/9763/watch-miami-dolphins-vs-new-york-jets
he went off on his own, though.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:31 PM
It’s really early. I’ve seen them come back from a TD down to blow teams out many a time before. But yeah, they’re out of sync something terrible so far.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:31 PM
God, it kills me that we let Reggie Wayne and Ed Reed leave New Orleans and go to the U.
/Thanks, Gerry DiNardo
November 1st, 2009 at 2:32 PM
I’m not sayin, I’m just sayin.
That Sam Hurd touchdown was PATHETIC. It’s time to move the Seahawks into the Rams/Chiefs/Bucs group.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:32 PM
Are you just not getting cbs TBL?
November 1st, 2009 at 2:32 PM
maybe they are looking ahead to next week…except ya know..they are like 13-1 against them
November 1st, 2009 at 2:32 PM
the bears should not be struggling against a team like the browns. but that doesnt fall on the head coaches shoulders. right sc?
November 1st, 2009 at 2:33 PM
schaub is a fraud
November 1st, 2009 at 2:36 PM
TO decided to join the 2009 season
November 1st, 2009 at 2:38 PM
Texas #2 in the coaches poll.
Guess it hurt Bama to have the week off and Va Tech frauding their way out of the ACC picture.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:40 PM
empire – dont live in the city anymore. cbs has no game for me. i have red zone, though, and im watching the jets game online.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:41 PM
Sad thing is, Alabama will beat LSU comfortably and Texas will only win by 3 touchdowns against UCF, and we’ll be right back where we started from.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:43 PM
Good lord. The Rams just picked of Stafford in the end zone, and the guy decided to run it out, and then got safetied. 3-2 Rams.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:45 PM
Bob Sanders sighting.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:45 PM
LOL
November 1st, 2009 at 2:45 PM
whew. bad pass by sanchez on 3rd and goal could have easily been a longggg pick 6. dropped.
jets get field goal, up 3-0
November 1st, 2009 at 2:46 PM
@gfunk: Legendary shit right there.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:47 PM
thats pretty hard to do gfunk
November 1st, 2009 at 2:47 PM
was that Alex Smith pick on the QB, or on Crabtree? couldn’t really tell on the replay
November 1st, 2009 at 2:47 PM
gfunk, is that the game on in your area? brutal.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:48 PM
CBS just had a Letterman promo showing Julia Louis Dreyfuss and Carrie Underwood. I wouldn’t kick either out of bed, but Julia is cougarific.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:49 PM
shes gotta be top 5 cougarific scripty. i have no idea who the other 4 are but im sure she is
November 1st, 2009 at 2:51 PM
Yeah it’s the only game I have. My cable company doesn’t have Red Zone either. I’m mostly watching a stream of the Indy game.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:51 PM
Niners redzone D holds again. Two for two.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:52 PM
Watching the Browns-Bears by choice. This is hilarious.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:57 PM
I don’t care how good the rest of the Colts team is, sooner or later they have to find someone who can return kicks and/or punts. Starting every possession inside their 15 is what got them beat in the playoffs last year. That and not being able to run the ball at all, which they still can’t do.
/Awaits another January loss
November 1st, 2009 at 2:57 PM
Ricky Williams looks like Bo Jackson sometimes. I want whatever he’s on.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:57 PM
Browns-Bears has to be the ugliest uniform matchup this season unless the Jets and Broncos are playing in throwbacks later this year…the football’s been pretty bad too, Jay Cutler is Jeff George
November 1st, 2009 at 2:57 PM
List? List!
1. Diane Lane
2. Ashley Judd
3. Ellen Barkin
4. Julia Louis Dreyfuss
5. Courtney Cox
November 1st, 2009 at 2:59 PM

November 1st, 2009 at 2:59 PM
Ellen Barkin? She’s almost fucking 60 years old.
November 1st, 2009 at 2:59 PM

November 1st, 2009 at 3:01 PM
ahh. a busty grandma
November 1st, 2009 at 3:03 PM
Cutler has no clue of when to check down. it’s not all playing calling.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:04 PM
Did anyone see her in ocean’s 13… I don’t care if shes 100, if she’s in shape like that, she’s still bangable
November 1st, 2009 at 3:06 PM
Best thin about Julia Louis-Dreyfus is how fucking loaded she is.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:07 PM
From the neck down, sure, but she’s got Meg Ryan face.
/Would hit it incessantly
November 1st, 2009 at 3:08 PM
courtney cox has gone way overboard on the plastic surgery.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:08 PM
I’m never taking women advice from JerseyYo ever again.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:08 PM
cutler doesnt have a clue to check down because he realizes the shit receivers should all be #3 options
November 1st, 2009 at 3:10 PM
Browns-Bears is truly epic.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:10 PM

accidentally leaving in the Bills defense is working wonders for me this week.

November 1st, 2009 at 3:13 PM
I don’t look at most of these chicks as “cougars”. And guys are crazy when it comes to Barkin.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:16 PM
Good call with the Lori Loughlin jpq. I can’t believe we all left off sportsgal too.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:16 PM

November 1st, 2009 at 3:16 PM
Rams just scored a TD on a fake field goal.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:17 PM
Jersey: They’re all mid forties at least. Who do you consider a cougar besides Ellen Barkin, Bea Arthur?
If you want real old cougars, Raquel Welch and Ann Margret still look pret-ty pret-ty good for their age
November 1st, 2009 at 3:17 PM
Does anyone remember when Robin Williams was funny?
Yeah, me neither.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:18 PM
damn. Eli TD pass makes it 16-7. really pulling for Eagles.
nobody would have guessed Jets could be 5-3 – same record as giants – at the halfway point
November 1st, 2009 at 3:20 PM
i have a guy who has 4 players on bye and im winning by .20 points
November 1st, 2009 at 3:20 PM

November 1st, 2009 at 3:20 PM

November 1st, 2009 at 3:21 PM
Has Denver shown any signs of life against Baltimore? Haven’t seen a second of it
November 1st, 2009 at 3:22 PM
How crazy is citizen’s bank park gonna be tonight. I mean, absolutely nothing would shock me about the game tonight… besides us losing to Joe Blanton. That would shock me.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:23 PM
TO looking more and more pissed on the sidelines
November 1st, 2009 at 3:23 PM
Orton is 10/15 for 35 yards. So, no.

Oh my. Eagles are tearing the Giants a new one.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:26 PM
I can’t remember liking a Robin Williams movie since Good Will Hunting. Man of the Year had its moments.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:27 PM
/fixed
November 1st, 2009 at 3:27 PM
McNabb isn’t an elite QB but I’d take him over Eli every day of the week
November 1st, 2009 at 3:28 PM
When does the AP Poll come out?
November 1st, 2009 at 3:28 PM
Roy Williams is alive
November 1st, 2009 at 3:28 PM
Did the Giants just buy that 3 bedroom that was available in Fraud City.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:29 PM
Which one?
November 1st, 2009 at 3:29 PM
after getting kicked in the nuts by cole hamels last night, this is some much-needed therapy today….hopefully it carries over across the street tonight…wow, eli just loves the throw it 20 feet over his receivers heads…
November 1st, 2009 at 3:30 PM
CC for the Yanks tonight right? That’s too bad.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:31 PM
Is NCIS really “TV’s #1 show” or is CBS just making up shit?
/please let it be the latter
November 1st, 2009 at 3:31 PM
FML…i kinda knew this was going to happen but if the texans lose this game you can kiss this season goodbye. all i want is a fucking 9-7 WINNING season. they’re in trouble if they are 4-4 going to INDY next weekend.
i cant even be an oiler/titan fan because they are worse.
grrrrrrrrrr
November 1st, 2009 at 3:31 PM
btw, who was saying last night that Chase Utley struggles against lefties? I would like to laugh at him.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:32 PM
Dallas WR, 7 yard TD
Well I’m headed to my brothers to watch Vikes/Pack on his brand new 46″ Panasonic plasma. The remotes are all being bubblewrapped just in case they’re to be used as projectiles. Yes, I am nervous.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:36 PM
This site says yes, at least last week.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:36 PM
Ravens return the 2nd half kick to the house. Broncos looking at loss #1.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:39 PM
NCIS ratings blew up when USA started airing like 7 episodes a day.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:45 PM
I think the Red Zone announcer just morphed into TBL, he just spend 48 seconds talking about Brett Favre’s choice in hats to wear to Lambeau today.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:45 PM
My wife loves NCIS, and the name Jethro LeRoy cracks me up to no end.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:47 PM
This is why people hate the Florida Gators.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:49 PM
what a shit head. that goes beyond football. thats trying to ruin someones quality of life
November 1st, 2009 at 3:52 PM
not yet
November 1st, 2009 at 3:52 PM
Ravens just gifted the Broncos chance after chance — well, the Broncos with a little help of the refs.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:54 PM
WOW. Spikes is a fuckin punk. that’s horrible
November 1st, 2009 at 3:54 PM
that denver defense..is it all brian dawkins
November 1st, 2009 at 3:55 PM
if Phil Dawson (missed PAT) is on the Clowns next week, I’ll be shocked,… SHOCKED
November 1st, 2009 at 3:58 PM
That Gators clip reminded me of a chapter in Jim Brown’s bio – RAW. Tons of this shit, along with the head slap and other crap, were crazy prevalent back in the late 50’s and 60’s. Your favorite NY Giants were the #1 eye gougers back in the day.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:59 PM
Ndamukong Suh in car crash. No injuries, but the rumours are rampant.
November 1st, 2009 at 4:01 PM
Ndamukong Suh in car crash. No injuries, but the rumours are rampant.
I guess no one wants to go #1…or #2…or even #3 in next year’s Draft!
November 1st, 2009 at 4:01 PM
The Baby Boomers love that shit like NCIS. But unless you’re advertising Depends, it doesn’t help the network as much as say American Idol would.
November 1st, 2009 at 4:03 PM
One rumour is that he only blew a .035, less than half of the legal limit. Other rumours are that he was not drinking at all. No one knows tohugh. He is, by all accounts, a super nice dude who is real big into school, so you would hope this was just an accident.
November 1st, 2009 at 4:05 PM
this miami jets game sucks
November 1st, 2009 at 4:06 PM
the reason cutler appears to suck is because he’s constantly under pressure. bears o-line sucks ass
November 1st, 2009 at 4:09 PM
Harlan says: cribbs is down, cribbs is down. they cannot afford to lose him.
/because he’s the key to the browns’ um, uh, their, punt returns
November 1st, 2009 at 4:10 PM
One rumour is that he only blew a .035, less than half of the legal limit. Other rumours are that he was not drinking at all. No one knows tohugh. He is, by all accounts, a super nice dude who is real big into school, so you would hope this was just an accident.
I’m talking about how Bradford was everyone’s preemptive #1 and then he got injured. That should have propelled Suh to that spot.
And to be honest, I don’t think I’d want the millions to go play for the Rams or Bucs.
November 1st, 2009 at 4:11 PM
And to be honest, I don’t think I’d want the millions to go play for the Rams or Bucs
much better as a defender, though, than as a RB or QB
November 1st, 2009 at 4:12 PM
haha fuck the jets
November 1st, 2009 at 4:17 PM
Our national nightmare is over. Suh was ticketed and released. No DUI.
November 1st, 2009 at 4:23 PM
Our national nightmare is over.
Favre is out for today?
November 1st, 2009 at 4:29 PM
you dont make a catch like reggie wayne just did and not be athletic.
November 1st, 2009 at 4:31 PM
Rams maybe, but you wouldn’t want to live near the water in Florida, with no state income tax on your new $50 million contract, playing a position that the average fan doesn’t even notice? You might be alone on that one.
