College Football Top 25
College Football, Video November 2nd. 2009, 4:30pm
You must see the video of Jonathan Dwyer trucking of a hapless Virginia defensive back below.
1. Florida – Beating Georgia isn’t a big accomplishment, but they haven’t lost since last September. That’s impressive.
2. Alabama – I would put Texas here, because beating Okie State on the road is cool … but I’m not gonna drop ‘Bama just because it didn’t play.
3. Texas – Pencil them UT in for Pasadena unless UF/Alabama is SO good that voters wanna see it again – or unless LSU stuns ‘Bama this Saturday.
4. Iowa – I now think OSU beats the Hawkeyes on November 14th.
5. Cincinnati
6. Boise State
7. Oregon
8. TCU – Realize TCU has NO losses and Oregon has one, but if they went head-to-head right now, like this Saturday, who wins? I can’t put Oregon over Boise, though. That battle was settled on a field already.
9. LSU
10. Georgia Tech
11. Penn State
12. Pittsburgh
13. Utah
14. Houston
15. Miami (FL)
16. USC – I think you gotta drop USC crazy far. The Trojans got taken out behind the woodshed. I realize they could probably beat every team ranked 8-14 on this list handily, but c’mon … at least for a week, you gotta drop these clowns.
17. Ohio State
18. California
19. Wisconsin
20. Arizona
21. Notre Dame - [Ed. Is Michael Floyd going to play against Navy?]
22. Oklahoma
23. California West Virginia
24. Virginia Tech
25. South Florida

Isn’t that a Vanderbilt defensive back? (can’t see the video)
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:36 PM
Mangini blog had that Dwyer clip as their College Football Hit of the Week last week (at least one of their hits of the week). That’s why he’s the Diesel.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:37 PM
That sounds suspiciously like TBL.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:37 PM
I think it happens a week sooner.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:38 PM
Wow. I can’t really bitch about this one. Iowa is high, but they have not lost yet so I guess they have to be there. ND-Pitt should be good in a few weeks. I also think Stanford can beat the Irish to end the season.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:40 PM
Texas isn’t UT. The first UT was established about 100 years earlier. Just sayin.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:40 PM
Notre Dame’s glorious march to an overwhelming BCS victory continues.
Celebrate.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:41 PM
Tis time to make merry, indeed.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:41 PM
Take off those Shamrock Glasses, Hernia, it ain’t happenin.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:41 PM
Who cares. It’s fucking navy.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:42 PM
Hernia: Do you really think they can beat any team in the top 10? Maybe Iowa, but I’m not sure they can beat them either. They simply aren’t very good. They have a decent offense, but their D is total shit.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:42 PM
I love how the Oregon Duck Face Fucked the cougar.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:42 PM
the U got lucky. 15th is being generous. and BigBrain, no need for the FL next to Miami. When was Miami Ohio ranked? ever?
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:43 PM
prolly when big ben went there.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:43 PM
Definitely when the Analrapist was in school.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:43 PM
Navy won last year and will win this year.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:44 PM
at least for a week, you gotta drop these clowns.
That sounds suspiciously like TBL.
Cap Rooney
Hmmm.
/Furrows eyebrow. Rubs chin.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:45 PM
You’re crazy. ND rolls Navy this year..big.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:45 PM
Who cares. It’s fucking navy.
I really, really, really hope Navy beats ND, so that I can point out that Navy lost to Temple
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:45 PM
22nd in the BCS bitches. And Floyd will play vs Pitt. Book it.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:46 PM
navy is tough this year.
/osu fan still trying to rationalize a close win
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:46 PM
Um, no, ND beat Navy last year.
/barely
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:46 PM
ace ventura would beat the piss out of that duck
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:46 PM
How does LSU beating Bama affect Texas going to Pasadena?
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:47 PM
Penn State too high. USC too high.
Iowa should have lost that game. They looked like shit and their QB is garbage… once they face a real team, they’re done.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:47 PM
Is he a DB, LB or DE? Oh, he isn’t, so it won’t fucking matter.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:47 PM
miz?
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:47 PM
We can whine all we want about Iowa not being deserving, but the somewhat demise of the Big 12 South should be causing everybody to ask if Texas is truly worthy. Only non-conf road game was at Wyoming and the other nc games were vs. La-Monroe, UTEP, and UCF.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:48 PM
Because that opens the door for Notre Dame or USC to sneak back in.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:48 PM
Connect the dots, Clown. Connect the dots.
/Bama sucks. Not Big 12 North sucky, just enough suck that I can’t wait until they are out of the equation.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:48 PM
and cue Florida’s OOC schedule…
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:48 PM
It matters much. Golden Tate can go back to attacking the middle of the field with reckless abandon and Michael Floyd can continue to make defenses pay for not quadruple covering him.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:48 PM
i would put lsu, psu, and gt over tcu
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:49 PM
KC Res: Bama doesn’t suck and you know it. Settle down with that talk. It’s silly. Now, about that monster that is the B12 North. Wow, what a division.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:50 PM
Because you’re retarded?
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:51 PM
agreed
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:51 PM
ND’s offense is not the issue. Their defense is what will end their season without a BCS bowl. The offense is great
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:52 PM
Well no, an overwhelming victory in any BCS bowl won’t be happening.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:52 PM
id put ohio state no. 1 because i like ‘em.
/happy gods?
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:52 PM
If Notre Dame wins out (only tough game left @ Pitt), they’ll finish 10-2 and likely will make the BCS. That’s going to likely make it three schools from non-BCS conferences to make BCS bowls leaving one at-large bid for the major conferences. Wonder if this will cause a firestorm.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:53 PM
Let’s not get carried away.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:54 PM
Sweet costume.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:54 PM
Once Notre Dame gets curb stomped in their bowl game, it’ll absolutely be a big deal. Also, how do you leave out USC, but put in Notre Dame, when USC beat them head to head?
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:54 PM
If ND wins out they are definitely BCS-bound. I would not assume Stanford is a gimme for ND. They have a good offense and the game is at home, it will be on national tv and a win would be massive for Stanford.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:54 PM
she really needs to be drinking that from a can.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:55 PM
Finished top 10 in 2003 with Roethlisberger as QB. That was one nasty team with a defense that was as solid as their offense was lethal. Kicked the shit out of Louisville in a bowl game. Wished it would have been a BCS school that they did it to…
/Miami also finished in the top 15 for 2 straight years in 1973 and 1974. In that time, they won 3 straight Tangerine Bowls over South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
//Miami was also a university (1809) before Florida was a state…
///Miami University grad showing off rarely needed knowledge…
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:55 PM
$$$
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:56 PM
Brilliant
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:57 PM
she really needs to be drinking that from a can.
best episode ever. i laughed the entire time. just thinking about Charlie throwing salt makes me laugh
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:58 PM
I’m not 100% clear on all the rules and regs, but if USC finishes higher in the BCS than Notre Dame, wouldn’t they go to a BCS bowl before the Fat Narsh?
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:58 PM
Miami also made it to the men’s ice hockey national championship game last year, where they peed it down their leg.
/had to
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:58 PM
To be fair, they both bring big $$$ and little game.
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:58 PM
Bingo. Notre Dame is every BCS Bowl’s dream. Especially if the matchup is ND vs. one of the smaller schools. USC’s probably not going to travel to a bowl beyond the Rose Bowl (where Oregon’s probably headed).
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:59 PM
Cal wishes it was this way. As long as ND is in the top-14 of the final BCS they are eligible. The top-4 are mandated to be chosen. after that it is up to the bowls themselves.
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:00 PM
DirecTV should probably buy this commercial immediately.
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:01 PM
The best of Charlie Dancing
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:02 PM
Don’t get me wrong. I’d love to have a Jackets-Irish matchup in Miami. Somebody (not sure if it was SI or ESPN) was projecting GT-USC in the Orange Bowl. Obviously, I’d much rather have ND.
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:02 PM
Also, it’s going to be tough to beat Stanford when Gerhart rushes for 600 yards on that “defense”
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:02 PM
i turned its always sunny off halfway through because the show has gone to complete shit
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:04 PM
i turned its always sunny off halfway through because the show has gone to complete shit
the intervention episode is the best they’ve done. hilarious the whole way through. check it out on hulu
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:06 PM
Take that back right now
/original Diesel
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:06 PM
i actually loved that episode spicious. didnt like last weeks though and most episodes this year werent very good.
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:09 PM
60 comments, and nobody called out BBoB for having Cal listed twice in his top 25?
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:09 PM
Sorry dude. That’s how it is. He’s the Diesel.
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:09 PM
recession one was my favorite this year
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:12 PM
It’s been an okay season of ‘Sunny’. By far the Intervention one has to be the best of the season. I did enjoy Roddy Piper’s cameo on last week’s episode.
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:15 PM
60 comments, and nobody called out BBoB for having Cal listed twice in his top 25? Al
This occurs every week with some team. He has broken us down and nobody bothers to point it out anymore.
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:17 PM
i think its intentional at this point
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:19 PM
How does this make any sense? A one loss Alabama/Florida/LSU will be ahead of Texas at the end of the year if texas is unbeaten? What?
Why do I keep reading this?
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:20 PM
Is this really the state of college football this season when a mediocre Badgers team is ranked? They’re 6-2 but their best win of the season might be Fresno State
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:21 PM
Re: It’s Always Sunny.
We were talking about it this weekend. What the hell has happened to Kaitlin Olson? She looks awful.
I loved this week’s episode. The trash man skit had me rolling on the ground.
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:23 PM
Rowdy Roddy Piper as the Maniac was brilliant
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:24 PM
Sadly, you are correct sir…
They are #1 in the country again this year! They are loaded for bear, but will be hard pressed to get back there after the collapse of all collapses last year.
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:25 PM
You’ve lost your mind!
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:31 PM
it is funny that you can tell devito is legitimitely hammered in most episodes
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:31 PM
Yeah Wally they’re #1 right now. Damn good team.
Until they lose one up in Yost and North Dakota sweeps Michigan Tech and then we’re #1
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:38 PM
I cant decide between FL and GA
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:45 PM
ND def not out of the BCS mix, people. win out, and they’ve got a compelling argument. will need some help, though.
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:57 PM
scripty, if you;re a stone-cold playa like me, you wouldn;t have to
November 2nd, 2009 at 6:00 PM
What would Notre Dame’s compelling argument be other than they’d make the bowl game money? They would have one win over a ranked team (Pitt) and a loss against an abysmal Michigan squad
November 2nd, 2009 at 6:02 PM
This argument trumps all. No other argument necessary.
November 2nd, 2009 at 6:05 PM
It won’t even be close to an argmuent. If ND is eligible someone will take them.
November 2nd, 2009 at 6:10 PM
I think Tampa Bo may be partially retarded. So I guess that would make him Gator fan.
November 2nd, 2009 at 6:12 PM
This question is irrelevant, so why ask it?
This is like in the NFL if Denver had the best record in the AFC, and they gave home field advantage to the Colts anyway “because we all know they’re better.”
November 2nd, 2009 at 6:12 PM
I think Tampa Bo may think it’s cool to get revenge on players by gouging their eyes. So I guess that would make him Gator fan.
/made correct
November 2nd, 2009 at 6:14 PM
What Buckeye, said, Butters. Money trumps all. Did you read the Dave Revsine interview from Friday?
