Huh? Have you ever seen the Spurs play? It seems to me that Parker and Ginobli get to the hoop pretty easily with Duncan in the lineup. It’s not a big deal but it’s entirely inaccurate.

Ok, well, even though they had handchecks during the Jordan era, they didn’t allow zone (remember illegal defense calls? seemed like 4 per quarter on opposing teams)

Every era has it’s rules…but to suggest Nash wouldn’t be good in any ear during the last 20 years is wrong IMO. The guy did deserve at least one MVP and he’s not getting worse with age, something everyone was expecting.

and, why don’t the knicks find themselves a PG, if d’antoni’s such a whiz? a nash may be hard to find, but making it a priority would increase the chances

And he pointed out that those rule changes aided D’Antoni’s offensive philosophy, which was perfect for Nash. I don’t think it quite rose to the level of “D’Antoni created Nash”, but it was more of “how stupid is Phoenix for splitting the two up”. They really were perfect for each other.

did people say that? Not smart people. Nash was great in Dallas before he ever even saw Dantoni. Plus, they went back to running the same offense they were running when it was D’antoni.
