Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady, Can You Dig It?
NFL November 10th. 2009, 5:25pm
One’s funny in commercials; the other makes ladies swoon. Both are top 10 quarterbacks of all-time. Sunday night, the Patriots visit the unbeaten Colts. Ratings should dwarf whatever the Kardashian crap does. It will be only Indy’s third game this season against a team with a winning record (Arizona, Houston). If you’re a stathead looking for a breakdown of their careers, we’ve found the link for you. [Indy Star]

I think the Patriots probably win this Sunday and that Tom Brady ends his career as a top-three QB of all time. That said, Peyton Manning’s better.
/Completely objective

34-24 New England

As a Pats fan reading the game recaps on that page were great. The losses sting but I still remember where I was for all those games. Love how Brady is winning the poll to.

Hey TBL, new CW show coming soon.

Why isn’t there a Drew Brees vs. Marc Bulger post?
/finally, a breather

Indy takes this one, 34-31. Pats won’t get (as many) drives extended by the Brady Rule away from home.
November 10th, 2009 at 5:34 PM
the problem (but a fun one) here is that you can only ever guess what each would have done in each other’s system, with each other’s surrounding talent.
Manning with Moss and Welker? Brady with Clark and Wayne and Edge? How much has defense set them up in great field position? My off the top guess is that Manning has had worse defenses to help him.
O-lines? Neither is very mobile, so protection has been good for both.
November 10th, 2009 at 5:40 PM
Manning’s had good defenses since 2005, but before that they were terrible. Probably not a shocker that the Colts are 4-1 against the Pats since 2005. I think the Manning-Brady thing is overplayed, anyway. It’s always been more about Manning vs. Belichick.

It’s got the gay guy from Dawson’s Creek, now that’s appointment viewing.

/Life goes on, and so do we… just how we do it is no mystery…
November 10th, 2009 at 5:43 PM
I dont think this is true. The year they won it all, their defense was horrible especially their run defense. Then Bob Sanders came back and they went on a roll in the playoffs.
Brady has always had better defenses, and he also had Mike Martz help him win their first SB.
November 10th, 2009 at 5:44 PM
Well, needless to say that thinking fans think a QB vs. QB or RB vs. RB hype is crap. same in baseball, unless it’s pitcher vs. some position player. so sure, brady v. manning is crap. but boy, i’d like to see one blitz the other

I gaurantee a victory. The old battle of cities with French influences is always a rough and tumble affair.

Marvin Harrison Gone and Forgotten
i didn;t forget him, just his name, so i skipped it. the idea was there
November 10th, 2009 at 5:46 PM
I think his point is Brady is an automaton that does what he’s told, and Manning is A GODDAMN COACH OUT THERE.
November 10th, 2009 at 5:46 PM
Don’t forget that before Moss and Welker, Brady was making due throwing to the likes of David Givens, Deion Branch, Troy Brown and Reche Caldwell.

Jimmy Boeheim is always a great interview. On PTI right now.

What’s the deal with the 1st story in the comments in the article?
I guess at least Brady doesn’t have to assault his women?

My bro picked it up this morning, havent got a chance to talk to him about it yet. I am not into those games, pretty much I play The Show all the time yet.
November 10th, 2009 at 5:51 PM
That’s pretty hard to get on the face all at once.
November 10th, 2009 at 5:51 PM
I didn’t, but that’s because the multiplayer is brutal if you’re new to the series. I’ll get it through gamefly for the single player campaign eventually though.
November 10th, 2009 at 5:51 PM
Imagine if Peyton had all the cheat-sheets like Brady had before each game… unstoppabler.
November 10th, 2009 at 5:52 PM
Reche Caldwell.
Thank you for bringing him up just so I can heard Chris Berman call him “Reche ‘Riccochet’ Caldwell” in my head over and over and over again. I had forgotten how fucking annoying that was when Caldwell got any sort of playing time.
November 10th, 2009 at 5:52 PM
How much has defense set them up in great field position?
what are you talking about? only big ben gets help from a good D, these guys are taking the ball 90 yards every time they score.
November 10th, 2009 at 5:53 PM
Brady is an automaton
no doubt I’d rather have Manning as a drinking buddy, personality-wise. BTW, have we ever seen him with a woman?
November 10th, 2009 at 5:55 PM
With his wife.
November 10th, 2009 at 5:55 PM
BTW, have we ever seen him with a woman?
Yes.

True story.
Imagine if Brady and Manning had those defenses though… they would just have the Lombardi shipped to them preseason for the parade set-up.

Ha, that word doesn’t get enough play.
In human anatomy, the perineum is generally defined as the surface region in both males and females between the pubic symphysis and the coccyx. The perineum is the region of the body inferior to the pelvic diaphragm and between the legs. It is a diamond-shaped area on the inferior surface of the trunk which includes the anus and, in females, the vagina. Its definition varies: it can refer to only the superficial structures in this region, or it can be used to include both superficial and deep structures.

I haven’t played any of the modern Call of Duty games, but I enjoyed the WWII series. I’d like to play it, but I’m still behind a couple of Halos and GTAs too.

Nope. But, after our dork session on Sunday night I went on Amazon yesterday afternoon and used my rewards points (I was saving them for X-Mas shopping) and bought Final Fantasy XII because I never got it when it came out two years ago.
My NHL 10 Blackhawks dynasty is my current distraction from work, blogging and school.

From Indy and live in CA. Going home for this game. The Colts are very deep on D… but when both starting corners are out, starting linebacker, starting safety (former DPOY) starting wide reciever, starting(kind of) running back… there are big big problems.
Key to this game is getting Donald Brown back (although Addai has been playing decent), and controling the ball. Garcon also needs to step up Two undrafted rookie corners doesn’t bode well at all. This could get ugly against us.

Does it ever. And then in 8 years they’ll be kicking our ass at vids.
