I agree that they could be this year, and Artest really helps them out. Brown is good defensively, but Fisher plays so many minutes he does become a defensive liability. The problem with Odom and Bynum is that sometimes they just look lost out there on defense; they don’t play instinctively. Pau is just too skinny and timid, like every European ball player.

Of course you don’t win a title without being adequate on D. I’m just saying the Cavs are too focused on maintaining their defensive strength, and instead need to change up their style of play to give the Magic a new look, because they aren’t going to beat them playing their current style of ball.

I haven’t stepped on a crack in 3 days, so i’m confident we’ll see the Next Laker Center tonight. But you are using a few series to judge the Lakers defense the entire year?
The Lakers are a very good defensive team, they are big inside with Pau/Bynum, Odom is versitile at the 4, all these guys are above avg on pick and roll,
the main reason dfish has a job is for Defense (and understanding the triangle) but he is slacking and brown should probably play more.

I didn’t get a chance to watch the game, but did Shaq do anything particularly douchey? I read he was getting booed on every touch, and something about scoffing at the Superman theme music for Dwight.

Well he did cost them a few NBA championships by bolting for LA, I know I’d still boo him if I were a Magic fan.
