John Wetteland Suicide Attempt?

John Wetteland, a dominant closer in the 1990s with the Yankees and Rangers, has been hospitalized in Dallas, Texas after an alleged suicide attempt. Various reports out of Dallas claim that Wetteland’s wife allegedly called police because Wetteland had a gun and was going to harm himself. When police arrived, Wetteland reportedly said, “he needed help” and was taken to a hospital with what is being called a “mental health issue.” [CBS]
