Also in 1989? Notre Dame football was actually good. So good they were ranked No. 1 going into a November 25th meeting with the Convicts. That rivalry has since been ceased, as has Notre Dame’s greatness. For most of you, that’s a crying shame.

Later on, the Irish will hopefully do their best by being their worst, and Superkick Charlie off the plank.
