USC Football: Stanford smoked USC, 55-21 in SoCal Saturday afternoon. It was one of the top three surprising results of the season. Stanford was leading 48-21 and went for a 2-point conversion. It failed. When the two coaches met at midfield, USC coach Pete Carroll supposedly said to Stanford’s Jim Harbaugh, “What’s your deal? What’s your deal” while shaking hands. Harbaugh responded, “What’s YOUR deal?” Drama! Yes, Stanford looks outstanding, but TJ Simers, let’s not go overboard here. It is simply a down year for USC after seven straight 11-12-13 win seasons.
