The Bills Really Wanted Jon Gruden
NFL November 21st. 2009, 1:15pm
According to a report from News 4 Sports in Buffalo, Jon Gruden would’ve been the guy to replace Dick Jauron if owner Ralph Wilson had his way.
The source claims the Bills “went after him hard,” including a face-to-face sitdown and most likely enticing promises of season tickets to the Sabres and a suite at Coca-Cola Field, where the Buffalo Bisons work their magic.
But somehow, they were unable convince Chucky to leave his cushy, package-promoting job at ESPN for the greener pastures of Buffalo.
Up next to pass up playing house in the same division as The Bill and his jorts? Mike Shanahan, Bill Cowher, Mike Holmgren, Brian Billick and some other guy who has at least one ring.
However, a name like Herm Edwards sounds about right.

jpq and others would rather have shotgun mouthwash than have herm edwards be the bills coach.

that’s just mean. That being said Jim Haslett will be the coach and mediocre(sp?) will reign supreme!

how does Jim Fassel not have another head coaching gig in the NFL?

He’s too busy with his job in the UFL.
/thought the Falcons should’ve hired him after firing Reeves

This might need the Duckworth tag, but ESPN bottom line reported that Holmgren has “interest” in football position with the Browns.

i dont know but he embarassed the shit out of himself when he begged for the raiders position

Like he’d give up his UFL gig. He somewhat inexplicably has a local sportsradio commercial where he shills for an attorney here. Whatever they’re paying him its too much.

Watching Michigan/tOsu is like cheering for syphilis over gonorrhea. either way, it burns your eye(s).

Syphilis and gonorrhea in the eyes? Sounds like Brazilian porn.

Terrelle Pryor throwing passes is truly a terrible thing to watch.
Syphilis and gonorrhea burns one eye
Michigan and Ohio St. burns two

OU/Tech is currently burning my eyes. I can barely stay interested. This just in… OU is really bad.

Tate with a int. He’s really out to show that he’s just as bad a QB as Pryor.
November 21st, 2009 at 2:47 PM
Poor Wilson. Anybody going in to interview with him have to be like old SNL Jimmy Fallon and that fat Sanz guy trying to keep from laughing every three seconds.
Haslett has wanted that job for 10 years (ex Bill), but Wilson hates him for somoe reason, and the old man holds grudges (Polian, Lou Saban, etc).
Fassell begging for jobs is just pathetic

Tate with another pick. It was almost Cutler like.
November 21st, 2009 at 2:59 PM
Forcier is trying to tie Sanchise and Cutler with 5 picks, but all his are gonna come in this half
