Didn’t see its precursor, Twilight, won’t see New Moon, and have no idea what these movies are about, except they involve teen angst, vampires, and werewolves. [NYT]

I love that the Academy Awards have expanded the Best Picture nominees to 10 this year, in a year when they could have 1 or 2. I can’t even think of a good movie I’ve seen in the last year.

Women love them though, all my friend’s wives/girlfriends have read all the books. I took my wife on Friday night and she loved it. I’ve had to go to worse movies. Most annoying was hearing all the 13 year old girls scream when the one guy took his shirt off. I mean, I yelled the first time, but come on, EVERY time?
