Antonie Walker’s Rough Year Continues
1-liner, Courts, Legal, Former Athletes November 29th. 2009, 3:50pmAntonie Walker: He’s broke, and he’s a slumlord, apparently. From A1 of the Chicago Tribune: “Amid a pile of financial troubles and legal actions capped off earlier this year with his arrest in Nevada for nearly $1 million in bad gambling debts, Walker is being pursued by city officials, bank attorneys and tenants’ lawyers for housing problems that have resulted in what the city says are public hazards.” Who had a rougher year from the 1996 Kentucky Wildcats – Pitino or Walker?

I vote for Walker. Pitino got publicly embarrassed, but also got laid out of the deal. Walker is not only broke, he’s going to jail, and he’s not to enjoy the sex as much (no matter how he gets it)

I love how everyone tries to use real estate to get rich or retire. Real estate is a tough way to make money, especially if you don’t know what you’re doing.
Any smart advisor would have put 5-10 million in a low-yield, low volatile savings/bond fund and he’d be set. Instead, they try to get fancy. Folks…don’t go for that high risk/high reward. Be smart with your money.
