New Year’s Day Bowl Games Aren’t Quite What They Used to Be, But There’s Hockey and Hoops, Too
College Football January 1st. 2010, 2:30pm
New Year’s Day college football has become less viewer-friendly in recent years; the schools make money, the fans suffer. Gone are the days of games on two or three channels for 10 straight hours; if the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl are blowouts, you’re SOL. If only the Bowl games had a clue and had played the three Saturday games today. Sigh. The good news is that there’s a terrific college hoops game between two unbeatens – West Virginia and Purdue. And assuming rain isn’t a factor, there’s also that hockey game at Fenway.

I think the Pryor hate was deserved for the first half of the season, especially after the Purdue game. But he’s played much better since then. I don’t understand the hate for the guy’s game the past two months. I do, however, get the dislike for the person. The kid is a fucking preening dumbass.

Pryor just sounds dumb when he talks. This interview with Lisa Salters isn’t Derrick Rose bad, but it’s subpar.
As far as his game, I know the guy struggles with accuracy. He committed a shload of turnovers early in the season, but he seems to have an intuition about him. He makes plays when his team need them. That’s not coaching; that’s just natural ability. I’m a big Michigan fan, so it’s not like I’m BSing this.
