Tennessee Basketball Players Arrested on Drugs and Weapon Chargers
College Basketball, Courts, Legal, Guns January 2nd. 2010, 12:00pm
Four Tennessee basketball players – including starter Tyler Smith and contributors Cameron Tatum and Brian Williams – were arrested Friday on drug and weapons charges. Cops stopped the quartet’s car – a girlfriend’s rental – and smelled weed. The boys in blue found two handguns, a bag of weed, and an open container of alcohol. Somebody was partying hard after that New Year’s Eve victory over Memphis. Depending on what charges stick, the Vols could have a hard time dancing in March. We can’t wait for the “Tennessee is the New Thug U” trend stories next week. Happy New Year, Bruce Pearl! [Knoxville News]
