Right before Christmas, I was in line at the 7-11, this other guy was behind me. Then a 2nd guy came in the store with his girl and was so excited to see the guy in line behind me. They were high fiving and hugging, I was like ok, they’re long lost friends. When the 2nd guy’s girl came up to the counter, he introduced her saying “Hey, this is Michael Vick’s father, you know, Mike Vick–plays for the Eagles” She started squealing with excitement too.
His dad doesn’t look a day over 35.

Vick is still the same person he was 2-3 years ago; he just does a little better job of hiding it these days. Several weeks ago, he popped into my hometown to help prop up a new restaurant a couple of his former VA Tech teammates had opened. He supposedly had no ties to the actual business side of the restaurant, even though it was named“7″(If I’m lyin’, I’m dyin’). Three weeks ago, it was shut down, and I can guarantee you that just the hint of any involvement with Vick was partially responsible for the failure of “7″.

I think Vick, when he left prison, should have started fresh by taking a new name. Something like, Ron Mexico, would work.
