Cleveland 117, Golden State 114: The Cavs improved to 2-1 on this five-game road trip thanks to 37 points and 11 assists from LeBron. (We should warn you: Do not hit LeBron on the butt if you don’t know him. He’ll get angry.) Shaq was fouled hard (2:40 mark) by rookie Stephen Curry, and then stared him down. “That wasn’t a smart foul. I kind of waited for him because I knew it would be on the highlights.” Monta Ellis, who has never seen a shot he didn’t like, scored 30 points on 25 shots, and during one stretch, he missed 11 straight attempts. Stephen Curry highlights at the :40 and 1:40. Insane LBJ swat of an Ellis layup at the 3:10 mark.

Detroit 87, Chicago 120: Forget firing Chicago’s Vinny Del Nergo – what about Detroit’s Michael Curry John Kuester? [oops.] The Pistons – who have suffered through some injuries – have lost 13 straight games. They’ve quit – the last three losses have been by a combined 63 points. Does Joe Dumars give him a pass because of all the new faces?

New York 88, Oklahoma City 106: How’s this combined statline for the Knicks’ starting point guard (Duhon) and power forward (Gallinari): 0-for-15 shooting, 0-for-9 three’s, four turnovers, three assists, three points. They played 27 and 31 minutes, respectively. Durant had 30 and the Thunder are a staggering 21-16. Too bad they’re not in the East – they’d be the 5th playoff seed. Instead, they’re barely 8th in the West.

Atlanta 102, Boston 96: A fourth quarter rally? On the road? Nice. The C’s were without ‘Sheed and KG, though. (Boston is being downright Belichickian about Garnett’s injury – he’s out another two weeks.) A year Two years after Joe Johnson torched Boston in the first round of the playoffs … nobody in green can guard the impending free agent. JJ went for 36, but it wasn’t as memorable as this dominating performance last May.

New Orleans 92, Philadelphia 96: The 76ers have won five of eight, ah, who gives a shit, who gives a fuck. The 76ers haven’t been relevant since the early days of Iverson’s career. Remember when he took Aaron McKie, Mutombo, Theo Ratliff and Eric Snow to the NBA finals? That’s a great accomplishment than LeBron carrying a bunch of scrubs to to the Finals in 2007. Here’s the bad news: There doesn’t seem to be a power player – which is what Philly needs – in the upcoming draft. Ed Davis is years away from being a power player.
