Sean Salisbury Admits to Taking Photos of His Penis with His Cell Phone and Showing Them to Co-Workers
1-liner, ESPN, Media Gossip/Musings, Sick and Twisted Individuals January 22nd. 2010, 11:00amSean Salisbury: The former ESPN football analyst, perhaps inspired by John Edwards’ confession, has finally admitted he took cell phone photos of his penis a few years ago and showed the pictures to colleagues. We broke this story in January 2007 after two writers had written blind items about the incident. Salisbury had staunchly denied the story for years, but finally admitted to USA Today (largest print outlet!) it was a “a sophomoric mistake.” Salisbury would have been about 43 at the time of the incident. He is currently unemployed.

So his branding initiative has sputtered? Stunning.
all-time classic spin on what amounted to a termination: “I have created a brand and it’s time to expand into other opportunities in TV, radio, Internet, publishing, movies and public speaking, among others.”

How’s that whole suing deadspin thing going for him?
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:11 AM
So taking pictures of your penis and showing them to co-workers is frowned upon? I’ve done that many times with spectacular results!
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:12 AM
Did he send the admission to USA Today from his iphone?
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:12 AM
I am climbing off my moral high horse after the Kobe post but before I take my foot out of the stirrup let me just say, there is no excuse for what he did and how he denied it afterwards, dude is a punk.
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:14 AM
You gotta know who you’re showing them to though. And why deny it? Embrace it! Talk about your punk ass bitches.

I think he was just showing Phillips the infection that happens if you sleep with your fat co-workers. Phillps really didn’t care.

am i the only person who thinks women don’t get fired up to fuck you if you walk around showing snaps of your junk?

The former ESPN football analyst, perhaps inspired by his lawsuit and that little thing called a deposition and perjury, has finally admitted he took cell phone photos of his penis a few years ago and showed the pictures to colleagues

January 22nd, 2010 at 11:21 AM
Was that wrong? Should I have not done that? I tell you, I gotta plead ingnorance on this thing because if anyone had said anything to me at all when I first started here that that sort of thing was frowned upon…
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:22 AM
@reaazy: apparently not everyone’s junk is a visual aphrodesiac for women. then again, i’m sure if he did that on a street corner to to crack whores they’d think he’s cool as hell for $5.
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:22 AM
Off topic, did anyone see Jon Stewart’s “special comment” on Keith Olbermann? Really good stuff(and fun for all ideologies!)

You don’t just go waving the pic around willy nilly. It takes finesse. Like I said, you gotta know who your showing them to. Having a magnificent piece helps a lot.

Re: Edwards.
If you guys want to know just how sleazy that fuck is, I would suggest reading this.

Fantastic job on the quote. Made me chortle.

yeah, MSNBC isnt anything like Fox news
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:40 AM
That’s a long read. Too long for me here at work. I did a page and I’m definitely intrigued.
He is a sleazeball. I saw on World News last night that he wanted his campaign manager (?) take the fall for him and claim he was the bastard child’s father. Yowzers.
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:41 AM
he did get way out of control with that stuff. cable news is terrible.
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:41 AM
Only on page 3 gods, but a very interesting read. Makes you ruminate about how each of us “ordinary” people would deal with being handed that type of power.

Very true. Power corrupts.
Comment of the day!! People who watch Fox News/MSNBC should be kicked in the nuts.

I tried to buy that book after work on the day it came out. It was sold out of pretty much every book store in the DC Metro area before lunch.
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:51 AM
I’m sure it’s a doozy. I love hearing about the behind the scenes shit about failed campaigns without the candidate knocking a chick up…which is hilarious by the way. My favorite line was when Edwards ripped his 27-year-old assistant for not “coming to me like a man and telling me to stop fucking her!” Even though he did…like three times.
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:52 AM
good links CJ and Gods.
I have heard so much about the book (interviews w/ Halperin & Helieman), but reading about 5 pages of that link has made me decide to definitely buy it. Edwards was exactly who I thought he was. Elizabeth Edwards is NOT who I thought she was.
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:54 AM
Learning how much of a bitch Elizabeth is/was is harrowing too. I did know that he made his money on filing malpractice after malpractice which is one reason health care is such a CF. My boss just left for the day..gonna kick back and read this whole thing.
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:56 AM
It’s like Primary Colors with the authors names released right away, not “anonymous” for 5 years
/Joe Klein’d
clett: exactly why I hated Edwards. He was making $10 million/year as a malpractice/wrongful death litigator, then would put on his “Aw shucks, my Daddy worked in the textile mills just like you do” bullshit
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:58 AM
I think after the 2004 campaign Edwards became the sleazy fuck that he is today. I honestly believe he used to be a good man, but he got a taste of power and he became an addict. The fact that he tried to get his longtime friend to take the fall for him is simply amazing.
January 22nd, 2010 at 12:06 PM
i just read that whole bitch. edwards seems like he really screwed the pooch or the hunter in this case. he pretty much fucked everything up.
January 22nd, 2010 at 12:09 PM
i don’t really see what wrong with malpractice suits as long as they are legitimate, cleet.
January 22nd, 2010 at 12:15 PM
that edwards is a GIANT assbag. at what point to people in this country start to lose it? every politician sucks, economy is a mess, president is sitting on his thumb, etc. it just seems like everywhere you turn, some new shitstorm pops up.
January 22nd, 2010 at 12:15 PM
I agree. The problem is that some aren’t, so many who oppose them attempt to convince the rest of us that all of them are bad. My uncles dad went blind during back surgery because the doc’s forgot to turn him to his side during the operation. He went in for relatively minor back surgery and came out blind.
January 22nd, 2010 at 12:27 PM
Just finished it. Quite a read. I agree some malpractice suits are legit no doubt, but some lawyers saw an opportunity to exploit the system meant to protect people like gods mentioned and create frivolous suits that tie up the hospitals and our legal system.

I don’t hate lawyers (my wife is one). I guess I should have said reckless lawsuits with ridiculous jury settlements (ie the person who smoked for 55 years, dies, and spouse is awarded $150 million from the tobacco company).
Unless there is reform in this area, universal health care will never work, as costs will never be able to be predictable/managed
January 22nd, 2010 at 12:28 PM
and now the politicians who get face time on cable news to talk about how bad malpractice lawsuits are will be funded by the insurance companies. yay, fun times. glad we have stand up news organizations who are able to determine fact from spin and challenge guests and their claims.
January 22nd, 2010 at 12:29 PM
damn, I just penned a brilliant comment regarding medical malpractice suits and the internet ate it.
cliff notes: tort reform is a must or we’ll have a shortage of doctors, malpractice should be defined as negligence and separated from human error or side effects, John Edwards caused the mass exodus of OB/GYN’s from North Carolina.
see, would’ve been brilliant.
January 22nd, 2010 at 12:30 PM
If ESPN shows Edwards ever again at a UNC hoops game (doubt he’ll be going to any this year… haha shut up) I will throttle Dickie V with all the desire of a Roy Williams pinky finger.

miz not to get all legal jargony- but most place divide human errors by whether or not they deviate from the standard of care. i can get with that. if the doctor is doing something that a majority of doctors won’t or don’t do and fuck you up. there is something wrong with that.
