Comscore December 2009: No Holiday Slump
Media Gossip/Musings February 9th. 2010, 4:18pm
We’re a few weeks late on the December numbers, but you’ll find them below. All the big boys had a terrific month. Can they thank Tiger Woods? He got in the accident late in November, and there was Tiger news seemingly every day (every hour?) in December. You’d think traffic would slow down around the holidays with everyone taking time off work and spending time with family instead of surfing for sports news … but no. We’ve included the December 2008 numbers as well so you can see the kind of growth everyone’s had. (And because we always have trouble coming with an idea for a photo here: Brooklyn Decker.)
1. Yahoo Sports: 38.6 million uniques
Up from 23.8 million in Dec. 2008.
2. ESPN: 27.7 million uniques
20.3 million in Dec. 2008.
3. Fox Sports 21.8 million uniques
14.3 million in Dec. 2008.

9. NBC Sports: 6.5 million uniques

Except Coop’s

way off topic … who is the guy here who rips Devin Ebanks of WVU? Just saw a stat that said S Reynolds did nothing against EBanks last night. as soon as someone else guarded him, Reynolds went off.
This also happened against Evan Turner earlier this season if memory serves. I still think Ebanks is a lottery pick IF gets it together mentally.

I don’t think Coop will ever live this down.

I think it’s rs who hates on Ebanks, but so many people hate on WVU for no reason it’s hard to keep track

Can’t say if that’s true or not. But if it is true, why would Huggy take him of Reynolds in the 2nd half and let Reynolds go off?

No, going to the bar then watching it at a friends apartment.

I had tix, but had to give them up. Kinda bummed, although driving up there in this snow would have been a challenge.

Well we know which site didn’t feature a story on, um, big man Greg Oden

I’ve said things about Ebanks in the past, but I wouldn’t call it “ripping” him. I just don’t think he’s going to be a stud in the NBA.
Yahoo continues to reap the benefits of the rivals.com acquisition.

I was planning on going to the MSU game, my friend has an extra ticket but the roads are too shitty. Oh well, Boiler the fuck Up!

Instead I went to class and now I’m watching a video on Ronald fucking Reagan. God damn snow.
