Oklahoma City 89, Portland 77: Good luck finding a Portland fan who didn’t watch this game and dream about having Kevin Durant in the City of Roses. He scored 33 points – topping 25 for the 25th straight game – collected 11 rebounds and the Thunder have won six in a row. Oklahoma City has 30 wins. Portland has 30 wins. There’s optimism in one city. Pessimism in another. Durant put the sickest crossover move on Andre Miller in transition last night, but the video isn’t online yet.

Sacramento 118, New York 114, OT: Of course the Knicks blew a 15-point 4th quarter lead. Of course nobody could guard Tyreke Evans (12 points in the final seven minutes). Of course Kevin Martin dominated overtime. Though we haven’t seen much of him this season, Omri Casspi is rapidly becoming a factor in Sacramento.

Houston 66, Miami 99: No Trevor Ariza (hip) and Kyle Lowry (ankle) meant no offense for the Rockets, who scored just 31 points in the first half. The Heat stopped a 5-game skid and D Wade sat out the fourth quarter. Perhaps the coaching staff wanted to make nice with their perturbed star.

Atlanta 108, Memphis 94: The All-Star break is the end of a horrible round for the Grizzlies, who are staggering to the bell. That’s four losses in a row. We should point out that three of the losses were to teams that will be in the playoffs. Phoenix and Toronto are looming, and the Grizz desperately need a split.

Dallas 91, Denver 127: ‘Melo returned after missing eight games and scored 19 points. Denver has a two-game lead over Utah for the 2nd spot in the West; Dallas (which was without Dampier and Marion and played Monday night in Golden State) is three games behind the Nuggets.
