NCAA Tournament Bracket Reaction: Duke Got Hooked Up, Kansas Has a Rough Road
College Basketball March 14th. 2010, 6:30pm
Duke got hooked up. No way around it. The Blue Devils (the third No. 1 seed – laughable) are in the South with the weakest No. 2 seed (Villanova), and the weakest No. 4 seed (Purdue). Pat Forde’s taking Baylor here to reach the Final Four … we might have follow that. As Chad Ford pointed out, there isn’t a lottery pick in Duke’s region; the Midwest, which features the tournament’s top overall seed, Kansas, might have half a dozen lottery picks. We’ll dive deeper tomorrow, but an early Final Four prediction: Kansas and Syracuse (probably the two easiest regions) and Baylor over Duke along with West Virginia over Kentucky. First round upset we love: Houston over Maryland. 2nd round matchup we want to see: James Anderson (Ok State) vs. Evan Turner (Ohio State). Double-digit seeds that could get out of the first weekend? Washington, Georgia Tech or UTEP.
