Penny Hardaway Wants a Shot at Playing for the Miami Heat
1-liner, Former Athletes, NBA July 16th. 2010, 1:00pmPenny Hardaway: A budding star in the early 1990s coming out of Memphis, Hardaway was an instant hit in Orlando, and one of the league’s best players in the mid-1990s. Injuries, unfortunately, derailed what appeared to be a very promising career. Penny wrapped up his career at the age of 36 in 2008 with the Miami Heat, appearing in just 16 games. Now, at 39, Penny wants to return to the league and play for the Heat. For a team that will probably need 2-3 players at the end of the bench, why not? For what it’s worth, LeBron once said that Penny Hardaway was one of his favorite players. [Sentinel]
