The NCAA investigation into improper benefits for North Carolina football players has extended to South Carolina. Gamecocks tight end Weslye Saunders, a known associate of UNC defensive tackle Marvin Austin, mentioned taking his talents to South Beach on his twitter account (now blocked), causing the NCAA to suspect he was on the same trip as the UNC players. The NCAA reportedly met with Saunders last Thursday and solicited his phone records. Saunders, heading into his senior season, is the top-rated tight end in the 2011 Draft Class and projected as a second-round pick. [Sports Agent Blog] [Photo Via Getty]
