There are endorsements, landmark endorsements and then there’s pitching a special new line of sandwiches at Blimpie’s. For mediocre NFL running backs such as Arizona’s Beanie Wells, it’s Blimpie’s in a walk-over, with a side of desperation. To his credit though, it’s a health menu. Considering the number of fattys wandering among us, any effort to promote healthier eating is certainly appreciated; although the sandwiches do look massive. So what could possibly be next for the former Ohio State standout? Waterbed Warehouse with Tidwell? Zipcar? Reviving the Zips phenomenon? How he turned down being the spokesman for those new health wraps at McDowell’s, we’ll never know.
