Cricket Highlight Video and a Cricket WAG
Cricket, Video, WAG July 27th. 2010, 5:00pmI watched part of a cricket match once. Yup. I spent three hours on a Saturday morning at a bar in England watching cricket. At no point did I understand what I was watching. I’m not even sure what percentage of the match I saw. They were already playing when I got there and showed no sign of slowing down as I left. Since I have such a connection to the sport and we already have a cricket tag I figured I’d post this Pakistani cricket highlight video set to Eminem’s “Not Afraid.” Because… Well… Of course this exists.
If you were wondering what kind of scratch cricket players make, SLAM! Sports has your answer.
Indian superstar Sachin Tendulkar earned over $8 million dollars last year. According to Forbes, the Indian Premier League (IPL) is home to nine of the richest cricket players in the world. Each player’s salary is well over a million dollars a season. These players make as much as $100,000 per three-hour contest.
So maybe I did see an entire match? I’m not sure. The highest paid cricket player in the world is Mahendra Singh Dhoni who pulls in $10 million a year. Dhoni recently married a fit Bollywood actress named Sakshi Singh Rawat who I just spent way too long Googling. Basically, if this guy played baseball instead of cricket, you’d be sick of seeing his face on this blog.
