Maurice “Get My Goose On” Clarett Returns to Columbus to Take Classes at Ohio State
Former Athletes July 27th. 2010, 11:45am
Maurice Clarett spent the early portion of this decade starring for Ohio State and helping the Buckeyes win a National title (on a bullshit pass interference call), then spent the last 3 1/2 years in a Toledo Correctional Institution for aggravated robbery and carrying a concealed weapon, and yesterday returned to Columbus to begin classes at the school that made him famous. Clarett’s tumultuous 2006 included an arrest after he was maced by police who attempted to use a stun gun on him (ineffective, as he was wearing a bullet proof vest). Despite the arrests and all the touchdowns, our favorite Maurice Clarett highlight occurred during Denver Broncos minicamp, when he allegedly said, before practice, “I gotta get my goose on.” [Dispatch]
