LeBron Thanks Akron with Full Page Newspaper Ad, Basically Gives a Huge Middle Finger to Cleveland
LeBron James, Media Gossip/Musings August 3rd. 2010, 10:30am
LeBron took out a full page ad in the Akron Beacon Journal today – we signed up for the print version and took a screen grab, which you can click to enlarge – thanking the city he grew up in “for your love and support.” There’s no mention of Cleveland. Or the Cavaliers. Or any of his teammates. Not that we’d expect him to (or that they deserve one). Not after the way Dan Gilbert acted like a scorned lover the night LeBron announced he was going to Miami. And not the way that Boston series ended, with a bunch of unanswered questions (rumors that have strangely never been addressed by anyone) about LeBron’s mom and his teammate, Delonte West. On Lebron’s first visit back to Cleveland, our guess is he scores 50+.
