Playboy playmate Shanna McLaughlin is a University of Central Florida graduate. Recently she returned to campus for a photo shoot for Axis Magazine. The shoot took place inside the football team’s locker room. (Which makes it very relevant to the mission statement of this sports blog.) Surprisingly, UCF isn’t exactly thrilled about the location. Story and video below. From the Orlando Sentinel:

Usually, requests for photo shoots in athletic facilities go through the athletics department, while other requests go to university administration.

The request to allow the photo shoot in the locker room went to someone who didn’t have the authority to give approval, said Grant Heston, a university spokesman.

Heston declined to name the person who gave permission for the magazine photo shoot but said staffers would be “re-educated” about what is appropriate on university grounds.

“It’s not something we condone,” he said. “We’re going to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

“Re-educated?” This is a man with vision. Whoever approved this should be commended and given an extra week’s vacation. Look at what resulted from this unnamed hero’s selfless actions.

I hope you’ll all join me for a standing ovation.
