1-liner, Baseball August 28th. 2010, 12:45pm
Jay-Z and the Yankees: “Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z has teamed up with bosses of the New York Yankees baseball franchise to release a limited edition line of co-branded clothing. The Brooklyn-born rapper scored a home run when his Empire State of Mind duet with Alicia Keys became an unofficial Big Apple anthem, and was adopted by Yankees fans as they cheered on the baseball team to win the championship last year. Now Jay has signed a deal to lend his name to a line of baseball caps, T-shirts, hooded sweat shirts and other memorabilia that will be sold exclusively at Yankee Stadium from 30 August to 14 September.” Admit it. You totally care and you’re booking a flight right now so you can part of the exclusive fun at Yankee Stadium. [Contactmusic.com; Photo via Getty]
