ESPN/ABC Pit Reporter Jamie Little Set to Marry Racing Executive. Conflict of Interest?
ESPN, Media Gossip/Musings, NASCAR September 1st. 2010, 12:15pm
Jamie Little, an attractive ESPN/ABC pit reporter, is getting married to racing executive Cody Selman in December in San Diego according to the Review-Journal. Who is Cody Selman? According to the paper, “Selman works for Motorsports Management International. The company reps drivers Busch, Jamie McMurray, Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart and many others.”
Hmmm. Sounds kind of like Wendi Nix and her husband, the Boston Red Sox Vice President of Player Personnel (which was addressed by the Ombudsman in 2006). To the best of our knowledge, Nix hasn’t done much baseball reporting since. Put it on Don Ohlmeyer’s lengthy list of topics to cover when he wakes up from his five-week slumber. highly underrated.

here you go, Texansfan. Your one racing post for the year.

is this the Chargers preivew? not enough Rivers face.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:22 PM
She’s got a little bit of a psychotic glare to her. Probably not a good idea to fight with her in the kitchen where they are knives and heavy objects.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:24 PM
I could never pull off a v-neck tshirt with the v cut that deep. another win for Tom Brady.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:24 PM
So she could be biased when reporting on how fast it took Tony Stewart’s pit crew to change his tires?!?! OH NOES!!
Is their season over yet?
September 1st, 2010 at 12:25 PM
Those ladies got some big mouths. I’m not sure where to take that, but that was the first thing that stood out.
I’m a huge Shannon Spake fan. Nicole Briscoe lost her luster for some reason to me.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:25 PM
I was going to ask if that guy in the pic was the one she’s about to marry, then I realized it was Tom Brady pre-long, Bieber hair.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:25 PM
Brady.0
September 1st, 2010 at 12:27 PM
Is Jamie Little attractive? This story says, “yes,” but her face says, “NO!!!!!”
September 1st, 2010 at 12:28 PM
She’s got a little bit of a psychotic glare to her.
The crazy eyebrows in the second pic are going to haunt my dreams.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:28 PM
God Tom’s hair looks so awesome right there. What the fuck Tom.
/still hoping he gets it chopped off by week 1
September 1st, 2010 at 12:28 PM
per a reader at S&Fs: A Lansing radio station is reporting the Big Ten divisions:
Div 1 UM Neb Iowa Minn NW MSU
Div 2 OSU Penn State Wisc Purdue Illinois Indiana
Michigan/OSU will remain the last regular season game

If Jenn Brown is getting Icehouse offers does this chick get Natty Ice to take advantage of her fans?

Dat’s only in da mornin’. Yo suppose to be up cookin breakfast or something, it’s like an alarm clock. WOO WOOOOOOO!
September 1st, 2010 at 12:30 PM
Will we be getting a football post today that does not involve Kristen Cavalleri?
/31 hrs til kickoff!
September 1st, 2010 at 12:30 PM
Shit…are they doing the SEC thing with an annual cross-division foe because Wisconsin-Minnesota has to keep going, right?
September 1st, 2010 at 12:31 PM
And I got called an idiot for saying that Mich/OSU should be in different divisions.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:31 PM
Sparty, we need to throw a party. This could not have worked out any better for MSU, Nebraska and Iowa. OSU actually has some solid competition with Wisky and PSU.
Ask your reader if they mentioned anything about Wisky and Iowa still playing every year.
She’ll be slinging Diesel and Winston unfiltered cigs.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:32 PM
If you had a caveat that they still play every year, I would not have called you an idiot. If not, I would still question your cognitive thinking skills.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:32 PM
Continuing Sparty’s TJ – as a Boiler, I don’t dislike those divisions. We play OSU tough, PSU will be in transition after JoePa steps down. IU and Illinois have sucked for years – meaning our nemesis, Wisky is the other big stumbling block to a BTCG
/may be delusional
September 1st, 2010 at 12:32 PM
Gisele is a super model. She doesn’t have one hair stylist friend that has told her her husband’s hair is awful looking now? I think he’s growing it out because it’s thinning and he thinks the length will take away from the baldness.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:34 PM
I think you’re in the wrong place, this is E! isn’t it?
September 1st, 2010 at 12:34 PM
Dont like the possibility of OSU/Mich in consecutive weeks, but glad they kept it as the regular season finale.
Should be fun watching the Huskers curbstomp the Hawkeyes every year.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:34 PM
LOL
September 1st, 2010 at 12:35 PM
remember, this is just a rumor at this point. no confirmation.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:36 PM
At least Illinois and Indiana can take turns beating each other.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:37 PM
I feel you should at least give TexansFan at hat tip when saying things like this.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:37 PM
OK, that’s funny. You a-holes have actually got me caring about college football. God dammit.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:37 PM
ESPN pit reporter/studio host Nicole Manske (Briscoe) has been married to IndyCar racer Ryan Briscoe for a few years.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:37 PM
Too late. You’ve been suspended for a month.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:38 PM
That’s very funny, Lefto.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:38 PM
Duffy promised us football today, but I think he probably just means he’s putting up an Onion bag post later.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:39 PM
i don’t get it…how is that any different than the way it is now? was OSU not playing those teams and i just completely imagined they were?
September 1st, 2010 at 12:39 PM
Did you include Mich. State just to be nice to sparty? because you know, they are more NW and Minn. than they are Neb. Iowa or Mich.
/no offense sparty
September 1st, 2010 at 12:39 PM
harsh
September 1st, 2010 at 12:39 PM
good stuff Lefty
September 1st, 2010 at 12:40 PM
In the first division setup we saw they only had Iowa to play. This one provides a bit more balance.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:41 PM
Awesome. Neb-Mich and Neb-Iowa will be great games. Surely the talk about non-divisional games not counting was bunk, right?
September 1st, 2010 at 12:41 PM
Well done.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:42 PM
Nicole Manske (Briscoe) has been married to IndyCar racer Ryan Briscoe for a few years
And she always reports that he wins every race. See? Interests have been conflicted.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:42 PM
why would the michigan game be great?
September 1st, 2010 at 12:42 PM
Had to be. That’s one of the worst ideas I’ve ever heard.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:43 PM
if they were concerned about balance, they’d have just put OSU in the big ten champ game from the outset and let the rest of the conference hash it out.
/not really all that far fetched
September 1st, 2010 at 12:43 PM
WTF?
i know TBL is gonna post this at some point, unless he did and I missed it.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:43 PM
Wait, I thought the big stupid idea of Big 10(+2) divisions was that the intra-divisional games wouldn’t count in the standings. Has that idiocy been cleared up already and I done gone and forgetted it?
September 1st, 2010 at 12:44 PM
Simply jarring.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:44 PM
it was the internet’s idea and it was convinced it was winning.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:44 PM
Funny scene at Starbucks today. Probably one of the most attractive women I’ve ever seen comes in after working out. Absolutely smoking hot. I’m reading an article and initially don’t see her, but I hear two guys each, almost in unison, say, “holy fuck.” I look up and see everyone (women and men) just staring at her. As she’s walking out I think she realizes it and she almost runs out of the store.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:46 PM
I wonder what the other protected rivalry games will be besides OSU-MICH.
NEB-WISC or IOWA-WISC?
MSU-PSU?
Also, until Michigan gets back on their feet, they have a rough sched. Nebraska, Iowa and OSU every year.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:46 PM
In terms of programs going head to head, that’s a dream matchup. I also think once RR gets canned, Harbaugh will have Michigan really good again (though he has NFL written all over him).
September 1st, 2010 at 12:46 PM
We’ll just let OSU have the play-in game to the B10 title game every year. If they beat Purdue, they can get into the title game.
I’m aware the same joke can be made about Iowa and Northwestern. Those smart kids love to pick on the corn-fed kids and have our number for some reason.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:48 PM
Husker, that story makes me kind of sad. But on the other hand, what exact store were you in so I can be there when she comes back? Also, what further information do we have on the blond girl closer to Brady in the picture?
September 1st, 2010 at 12:49 PM
Probably Iowa-Wisky if the B10′ers have their way. Nebraska-PSU would be great as well. NEB would have PSU, Mich and Iowa every year. That would be awesome. I would love the OSU-NEB games every few years as well.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:49 PM
If you spent just 5 minutes with Tom Brady’s Beiber hair-cut, you would be a better person.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:49 PM
Simply jarring.
what happened to you, Mike? You used to be so…
/tbl’d
//actively trying to shed the friend of TBL label
September 1st, 2010 at 12:50 PM
that sounds awkward
September 1st, 2010 at 12:50 PM
Chastain Village…so many good looking women go through there, but this girl (20-25) was unreal.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:51 PM
Whoa. It’s a scorcher in Flushing today. Scary.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:51 PM
I think you’ve successfully done that, what with your comments re: NFL posts.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:52 PM
Hey, cleet, you might’ve already put your thoughts out there in Yardwork but what’s your take on the green helmets for The U? If they wear those unis tomorrow night can we tell one team from the other?
September 1st, 2010 at 12:52 PM
I’d be surprised if they broke up UW-Minnesota unless it’s deemed competitively unfair to give the Badgers that shit show every year…would be a shame to break up the oldest 1-A rivalry in the sport
September 1st, 2010 at 12:53 PM
True, but NFL previews are everywhere. Jay Cutler/Kristin Cavallari rumors are exclusive to TBL.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:54 PM
Isn’t that Arizona and Arizona State?
September 1st, 2010 at 12:55 PM
Their only wearing those unis for the V-Tech game. I actually like the green helmets as a one time thing. The rest of the uni I’m not too sure about. The all white ones are not my favorite but I haven’t seen them close up and I heard there is like a radar design of a hurricane on them.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:55 PM
Just when TBL loses me with Kristin Cavalleri posts… he brings me back in! Totally forgot tomorrow was 9-02-10 day!
September 1st, 2010 at 12:56 PM
I think you’ve successfully done that, what with your comments re: NFL posts.
oh, I did it a long time before that. He just accused me of doing this earlier, so I thought I’d live up to the accusation.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:57 PM
as of right now, michigan isn’t close to any of those teams.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:57 PM
Brandon! Look what they did to her! Brandon!
September 1st, 2010 at 12:58 PM
I didn’t hate the all-white ones for the Canes (looked stupid on the Gators). The green helmet looks kind of stupid to me but I can’t really think of a good alternate to the “classic” Canes helmet and I guess they have to do something. Am I the only one that finds it annoying that KII still gets blasted for the “I’m a fucking soldier” routine but Nike calls their gear Pro Combat and that’s OK?
September 1st, 2010 at 12:59 PM
tied with Army-Navy I believe
September 1st, 2010 at 12:59 PM
Yes.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:59 PM
Yes…yes you are.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:01 PM
Well, fuck it, if I’m the only one I’d like to point out how much I hate the name Nike Pro Combat (I always expect one of those horrible camo unis when I hear it) and then go back into my little cave, light a candle and fire up my picture-radio.
/ Go Canes!
September 1st, 2010 at 1:04 PM
Stop. That was a retarded thing to say and he deserves to get ridiculed for it, even if it was after a game where Tennessee did all they could to break his knees into pieces.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:06 PM
never heard of her
September 1st, 2010 at 1:06 PM
The worst part of that whole interview, which everybody overlooks, is when he says “I don’t give a hell”. That’s just awful.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:08 PM
Oh, maybe UW-Minnesota is the most played then in 1-A…I thought it was something
September 1st, 2010 at 1:09 PM
This guy, is properly repping the U tho.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:10 PM
I think UW-Minn. is tied for the oldest. KU-Missouri is most played I think
September 1st, 2010 at 1:10 PM
that was the 1st buckeye loss to an unranked team in god knows how long. it was a fluke. iowa losing to a shitty team on the other hand? trend.
shut up and embrace iowa’s 3rd or 4th tier status.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:17 PM
This is a few years old, but should answer your questions about oldest/most played rivalries.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:18 PM
I think you guys may be looking at my KII diatribe from the wrong angle. I’m really more saying that Nike should find another name for their terrible gear
September 1st, 2010 at 1:18 PM
Also, my poor syntax there was just a joke, get it?

Pounders says he’s getting pretty good at it — good enough to begin passing the skill down to his 10-year-old son, who helped carve this year’s monument to the best team on Earth.
Brought a tear to my eye. Thanks, cleet
September 1st, 2010 at 1:35 PM
@starkweather – I never said anything about conflict of interest. Only that a reporter is married to a racer. It’s a similar situation here.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:35 PM
She’s not attractive.
Now Nicole Briscoe on the other hand

Because they have a tradition and won’t be down forever.
MSU had to tag along with big brother as their only other “trophy” game got stuffed. Land Grant Trophy, it was good to know ya.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:40 PM
ugh, that is one ugly trophy.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:40 PM
Notre Dame fans have been saying this for about 15 years.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:48 PM
True, but I’m thinking Dave Brandon will put an end to shitty hires once he cans RichRod and hires Harbaugh.
