Your Weekly Carmelo Anthony Update
NBA, Video September 1st. 2010, 3:30pmWell, here are two teams that won’t get Carmelo Anthony – the Clippers and the Kings. The Paper Clips have plenty to offer (Kaman, Aminu, Gordon), but would ‘Melo be able to win with just Blake Griffin and an ancient Baron Davis? The Kings can offer Dalembert’s expiring deal and a couple No. 1′s, but what good are those No. 1 picks going to be if ‘Melo, Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins are a playoff team? We still give the Warriors (Monta Ellis, spare parts, No. 1 pick) a slight advantage, with the Clippers probably 2nd. Don’t forget the ‘wife-factor,’ though. Good luck, new guy. [Denver Post]

9-7, playoffs

That’s what I think. I think Chargers finish 10-6, win division, Raiders beat the Squeelers out for the last wild card spot.

Easy schedule (both West divisions) + talented D + competent O + underappreciated coach who gets everyone to play hard (except JaMarcus) = 9-7

NBA post!
my guess is Melo gets traded before the deadline, not before the season

I see where you’re coming from. Didn’t know they crossed over with the NFC West. That’s nice. And I do like Darren McFadden. My questions, I guess are two-fold:
1. How’s their O-line? Haven’t seen enough of them to know.
2. Can J. Campbell really get it done?
September 1st, 2010 at 3:53 PM
1. Robert Gallery breathes. They can hold up.
2. He’s every bit as good as McStabb.

On their best day, average. This is where the weak sched comes into play, although SF will annihilate them.
He doesn’t need to. Michael Bush, broken thumb or no broken thumb, is a badass. Campbell and Gradkowski are both passable, average QBs. They can move the chains and beat bad teams. I think Zach Miller’s gonna be a monster. But then I said the same thing about Eric Johnson years ago.

Jason’s Campbell is the perfect QB to lead average to good talent to 9-7.
