White Men Can Jump
College Basketball, Video February 3rd. 2011, 7:50am
That’s Indiana’s Tom Pritchard soaring for an offensive rebound last night against Minnesota. Before landing, he dunked. There’s video after the jump if you don’t believe me. The Hoosiers won, 60-57.
I believe that’s Quinn Buckner screaming. And the Minnesota player who foolishly tried to leap at the last second to block the dunk-back? That’s Ralph Sampson Jr.

Jardine pissed about unfounded point shaving rumors. Deadspin in the middle of it.
Not much more to say…

what’s with all the empty seats in the top section? But in reality, if this guy was black, it’d be just another dunk

Made it to work today… aside from that Lake Shore Drive debacle, I’m pretty pleased with the City of Chicago’s response to the blizzard. Most of the main arteries are almost completely clear.

SG, how much snow did you guys get?
the storm of the century was pretty weak by the time it got here. some ice. that’s it.

That is a bad ass picture. Crean is going to get things back on track in Bloomington!
Hoo-Hoo-Hoo-Hoosiers!

Same here SG. My in-laws live up in Chicago. The Lake Shore thing was crazy.

How do I know if I have been moderated?
February 3rd, 2011 at 8:23 AM
Is d ick bad?

That was the manliest thing Pritchard has done in his time at IU. Oladipo had a really good dunk later in the game that he got T’ed up on.
February 3rd, 2011 at 8:26 AM
when in doubt, assume you’ve been moderated.
February 3rd, 2011 at 8:26 AM
you got me.
February 3rd, 2011 at 8:37 AM
I still don’t get moderation, Fred. Some things get snagged in pending; others spam.

won a 3-dollar bet with my 10 yo stepson. i told him the national guard was called in to help. he said no way. we checked and then he said, oh, i thought you meant like the national national guard, the army. i probably won’t come after him for the welch attempt

seriously TBL. yer saying moderation is like auto-pilot. no one inputs trigger words?

Would you rather:
A – Be home with a sick kid, but also cook dinner, light housework, have internet
B – Work, come home to a hot dinner, no blogs or personal e-mail or social media available at work

All said and done we got 20 inches. The wind was the big problem because there are drifts as high as 6 or 7 feet.
Also, I was one of the idiots that decided taking a Lake Shore Drive bus to get home. Left at 4, didn’t get home until 8. My bus driver was awesome and plowed right past the jack knifed bus. They closed Lake Shore while I was on it.

there are trigger words.
just be happy you live in a high-rise and don’t have a driveway to plow. I can’t wait for this crummy winter to end
February 3rd, 2011 at 8:51 AM
Believe me, I’m very grateful. Every sidewalk on my street was shoveled so I didn’t even have to walk through any snow to get to the bus stop. But I did have to stand in 6 degree weather waiting for the bus.

Damn, SG.. that sounds fucking miserable.

The bus ride was scary. It sucked being stuck on there for so long but once you see cars turned completely around or people getting out of their cars to get on the bus because they can’t move you start to feel panicked.

I thought the White Stripes were already broken up. Jack White’s been doing so many side projects I just assumed he wasn’t doing the White Stripes anymore. Sucks for Meg. Hopefully she saved some of her dough.
