Jerry Sloan to Resign as Utah Jazz Coach? [UPDATE: It Did Involve Deron Williams]

Remember this doom-and-gloom post last month about the Jazz? Someone just floored the accelerator. Utah’s headed off the cliff like Thelma & Louise. Wonder how many NBA GMs are calling the Jazz about Deron Williams right now?
[UPDATE: There is some speculation – with nothing concrete to back it up – that the Jazz may have forced Sloan out in an effort to keep Williams (in the summer of 2012, he has a player option). Williams could be next year’s version of Carmelo Anthony. This speculation seems crazy – Sloan is regarded as one of the best coaches in the league and has been the Jazz coach for 23 years – but if you’ve seen a link about it, I’d love to read more.]

The frustration escalated on Wednesday night when Sloan and Williams clashed in the locker room at halftime.”]
