LA Lakers 116, Sacramento 108, OT: Not quite sure what Phil Jackson is thinking playing Kobe 38 minutes (36 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists) in a meaningless game … guess he just wanted to hand Sacramento a loss in its final game before moving to Anaheim. [Ed. Or, he'd rather play New Orleans than Portland.] The Kings announcers got emotional on their final sign off. It’s probably a tough time for Kings fans. Landon Donovan didn’t care. Don’t worry, it’s not all terrible – Donte Greene, who had star potential when he left Syracuse, had one of the best dunks of the night. It’s tucked after the jump.

Miami 97, Toronto 79: The Big 3 sat, Eddie House scored 35, and the ageless Juwan Howard added 18. If Howard scored his 18 against UNC rookie Ed Davis …

Memphis 103, LA Clippers 110: Why would you get in the way of a DeAndre Jordan dunk? Bad choice, Darrell Arthur. Blake Griffin capped a brilliant rookie season with a triple-double (31 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) and this wicked alley-oop dunk. I was clearly a year ahead thinking the Clippers and Wizards would make the playoffs. Next year, obviously. I’m foaming at the mouth thinking about Bledsoe-Gordon-a small forward to be named later-Griffin-Jordan. I just hope the season starts before January. Memphis lost its last two games and will open the playoffs against San Antonio.

Houston 121, Minnesota 102: My man Goran Dragic – 11 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists. I thought that was slightly more impressive than the career-high 35 points from Chase Budinger. Do you think if I played 10 minutes for the Wolves last night I would have scored a few baskets? I mean, Wayne Ellington didn’t score in eight minutes; but Anthony Randolph scored 23 (he’s topped 20 five times in the last 11 games).

Washington 93, Cleveland 100: If there’s such thing as a “smart” loss … this one was for the Wizards. It has draft implications, which we’ll get to later. The good news for Cleveland – Derrick Williams of Arizona has declared for the draft. That’s good news, you know, in case they don’t get the No. 1 pick (which would be Kyrie Irving).

Golden State 110, Portland 86: Dorrell Wright has quietly put together an impressive season. The Heat probably wish they hadn’t given up on him so early. Finally getting playing time, he’s producing: 16 points, 5 rebounds in 38 minutes a night. Harvard’s Jeremy Lin scored 12 points, collected five rebounds and dished out five assists in 23 minutes. If you’re wondering about Stephen Curry’s sophomore season – shot a little better from the field, 3 and line; scored a tad more, rebounds, steals a tad down. Assists even. No sophomore slump.

The second angle of this Earl Watson-to-Jeremy Evans alley-oop makes it look much more impressive. And no, I’ve never heard of Jeremy Evans. A quick scan of his bio tells me he went to Western Kentucky, is the school’s leader in blocked shots, and was a 2nd round draft pick.
