NBA Draft Yearbook Picture Day
NBA, NBA Draft June 22nd. 2011, 5:15pm
One of the great traditions of the NBA Draft is the yearbook photo-style photoshoot the prospective lottery picks have to take the day before they’re selected. I can just imagine each draft pick getting a small plastic comb so they can fix their hair. I wonder if 2011 is the year when Jimmer’s mom finally let him get the laser show background!?

Honey Badger’s tie looks like it’s from the Al Borland collection at JC Penney.

Am I crazy for thinking that the Cavs could just get Williams and Kanter (or trade the pick away if they don’t love him) and just take Nolan Smith at the end of the first round?

Well played on all the captions

Can they get both of them, WWOS? What’s Utah doing at #3 besides not taking the PG out of Kentucky?

OT
Was just reading a soccer article and the guy was talking to Real Madrid’s Alvaro Arbeloa and saw this part and felt comeplled to share…

oops.

I think they could get Kanter at 4. If not then trade the pick for someone who likes Knight, I guess. I refuse to think that the difference between Knight and Smith is very great. I see Knight as a poor-man’s Brandon Jennings a PG without a consistent shot who can’t run a team that well without taking 25 shots in a game and missing 15 of them. (I’d say Tyreke Evans, but Evans is a bit more physical).
My point isn’t that Smith is going to be great, just that if you can’t draft a for-sure starter, get some value. If they thought Kemba was going to be good, I’d be all for them trading down (or even picking him at 4, why the hell not)

Haha.
He must have caught ‘Catch me If you Can’ on TV over the weekend and thought to himself ‘this is god damn bull shit’.

Lotta chatter in last few minutes about Minny deciding on Kanter over Williams.
June 22nd, 2011 at 5:54 PM
Fredette, Knight, Walker, and Burks all went to the same tailor. At least Burks went with a different color.

@Jay V i really think there’s a real chance Williams is available to the cavs at 4.
June 22nd, 2011 at 5:54 PM
not saying that’s the way i want them to go or not.
June 22nd, 2011 at 5:58 PM
AC, it’s sounding possible. But I’m not sure the Jazz pass up Williams, though. I tend to trust Givony over anybody other draftnik, and he seems to think that’s the case, and that Cavs are going to go Valenciunas.

How in the hell does that play out? I don’t see any chance Utah would let him drop past them. In Utahs perfect scenario Williams goes to them at #3 and they sit back and wait for Jimmer.

irving, kanter, knight, and then have at it on a trade. that’s a real possibility. minny doesn’t need williams. they have beasley. say what you want about that though.

I agree that Minny does not need him. They would be stupid not to trade that pick. My whole thing was that there is no way he gets past Utah.

if they offered Walton, Steve Blake and Fisher for Arenas…who says no?
June 22nd, 2011 at 6:48 PM
No but if they can pull that off it will be the greatest heist since the Dark Knight.

How long is Gilbert’s contract though?

Besides being cheesy photos(c’mon, is this meant to be a throw back thing?), Kanter will be a total smash for some team. Too bad the white boys in suits who run the NCAA wouldn’t clear him to play for UK.
